The cars all have similar power-to-weight ratios, so they are best differentiated by weight and acceleration. The lighter cars seem to have shorter braking zones, and are slightly quicker to turn in, but suffer from lower acceleration.The opposite is true for heavier cars. The cars with 7 gears all achieve their best acceleration at higher top speeds than the cars with fewer, but do not necessarily achieve faster acceleration times. The exception to this is the Gallus Hatchback SR4, the Mission Xenon RS, and the Karnu Classic GT, which have both high top speeds and quick acceleration, but are quite heavy.

The following graph helps to give a sense of weight to acceleration.



Looking at the graph, there are a few cars which stand out. For instance, the Calda Street GT and the Zenor Compact ZR have the same top speed, but the Zenor is both lighter and quicker to accelerate than the Calda. Similraly, the Micro Compact SS, Micro Club GT3, Auto Brazor Turbo R, and Touge Club SI all weigh roughly the same, but the Touge Club SI is faster to accelerate than most of the others and has the highest top speed, though one might choose the Micro Club GT3 on slow courses. At the heavy end, we see that the Fandu Pinpoint is lighter than the other quickest cars while matching their acceleration (though the Gallus Hatchback SR4 has a higher top speed).

These are the stats of cars once all upgrades are removed. Note that this is not the same as the cars' default stats. Note also that without transmission upgrades, acceleration and top speed are not adjustable.
