Guide: How to Fix the Issue with Unsynchronized Achievements in Assassin’s Creed Revelations (Ubisoft Connect & Steam)
Issue Description
If you played Assassin’s Creed Revelations without enabling cloud save synchronization, you might have encountered a situation where some achievements were registered while others were not. The most frustrating part is that even story-related achievements often remain locked, such as:

Completing Sequence 3 as Ezio
The first two Desmond’s Journey sequences
Restarting the game or enabling cloud synchronization doesn’t always help. I spent a lot of time searching various forums (both Russian and English-speaking) but couldn’t find a working solution.

So, I decided to dig into the files myself. I experimented with Cheat Engine, HxD, Notepad++, tried different save files, tested multiple approaches, and finally found a real fix.

Why Does This Happen?
As expected, the issue is caused by Ubisoft Connect. Even if cloud synchronization is enabled, achievements sometimes fail to register due to:

Cloud saves not syncing properly
A general bug with Ubisoft achievements
A conflict between local saves and Ubisoft Connect
How to Check If an Achievement Is Registered in the Game
Launch the game and load a save where you play as Ezio (do not check while on Desmond’s island or from the main menu!)
Press Esc
Go to Settings (6th line from the top, 3rd from the bottom)
Select Statistics (1st line from the top, 5th from the bottom)
Open Achievements (10th line from the top, last from the bottom)
If the achievement appears in the game menu but is missing from Ubisoft Connect or Steam, follow the steps below to fix it.
Fixing the Issue (For Regular Achievements, Not Story-Related Ones)
Step 1: Disable Cloud Save Synchronization
Open Ubisoft Connect
Go to Settings
Uncheck the option "Enable cloud save synchronization for supported games"
Step 2: Delete the Problematic Save Files
Locate your Ubisoft Connect save folder
The path may vary, but typically it is:
[Your Installed Drive] → UbisoftConnect → Ubisoft Game Launcher → savegames → [Your User ID] → 40
Delete the file "1.save"
Step 3: Restart the Game
Launch Assassin’s Creed Revelations
Load your save and check the Achievements section
If achievements are missing, close the game
Step 4: Re-enable Cloud Synchronization
Open Ubisoft Connect
Go to Settings
Check the option "Enable cloud save synchronization for supported games"
Step 5: Reload the Saves
Start the game
When prompted, choose "Load files from PC"
After these steps, you should start receiving achievements properly again.

Fix for Story-Related Achievements
Unfortunately, if you have already completed Sequence 3 as Ezio or Desmond’s Journey, Ubisoft Connect will not unlock the achievements retroactively.

Possible Solutions
Restart the game from the beginning and replay the problematic sequences
Use another player’s save files

How to Properly Use Downloaded Save Files
Download and extract the necessary save files

Convert them using ACSaveTool

Open ACSaveTool_2.3.1
In Decryption ID, type: revelationsaves
In Game, select Assassin’s Creed Revelations
In Encryption ID, enter your Ubisoft ID (found in your Ubisoft save folder name)
Convert the file twice! (After the first conversion, the date doesn’t change. After the second, it updates.)
Disable cloud synchronization in Ubisoft Connect

Copy the converted save files into the game’s save folder

Launch the game and move around in the save for a few seconds

Close the game and re-enable cloud synchronization

Launch the game again and choose to load saves from the PC

After this, you should be able to replay the necessary story sequences and unlock the missing achievements.

Fix for Missing DLC “The Lost Archive”
If you bought The Lost Archive DLC for Ubisoft Connect, but it doesn’t show up in your game, Ubisoft removed it from the standard version.

Solution:
Download the necessary DLC files (Remove spaces in the link if needed):

Alternative Fix: Buying Gold Edition
If you want your achievements to be properly registered in Ubisoft Connect, you can try this workaround:

Purchase Assassin’s Creed Revelations Gold Edition for Ubisoft Connect, complete the game, and get all achievements
Then buy Assassin’s Creed Revelations Standard for Steam
When launching via Steam, select Gold Edition (it should appear as an option)
👀 However, Gold Edition is not available on Steam, so you’ll need to buy it from third-party sites!
