Step 1.
Make sure you have a working computer. If you do not have a computer, obtain one.

Step 2.
Make sure your computer is plugged in. If it is not plugged in, plug it in. If it is a laptop, ensure that it has sufficient battery life. If not, plug it in.

Step 3.
Locate the power button on your computer. It is usually on the case for desktops and near the keyboard for laptops. If you cannot find it, consult your computer’s manual.

Step 4.
Press the power button. Wait for the computer to boot up. This may take a few seconds to several minutes, depending on your hardware.

Step 5.
Once the computer has booted up, locate your keyboard and mouse. Make sure they are functional. If they are not, try reconnecting them.

Step 6.
Locate your monitor. If the screen is blank, ensure that it is turned on. If not, press the power button on the monitor.

Step 7.
Wait for the operating system to load. This may take a moment.

Step 8.
Locate your login screen. If you do not see it, make sure your computer has fully booted.

Step 9.
Enter your login credentials. If you do not remember your password, reset it. If you are using a guest account, make sure it has the necessary permissions.

Step 10.
Once you have logged in, locate the Steam application. If you do not have Steam installed, download it from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ website and install it.

Step 11.
Double-click on the Steam icon to open the application. If it does not open, try again.

Step 12.
Wait for Steam to load. If an update is required, allow it to update. If it takes too long, consider checking your internet connection.

Step 13.
Once Steam has loaded, look at the interface. Notice the various tabs and options available.

Step 14.
Locate the Library tab. This is where your installed and uninstalled games are listed.

Step 15.
Click on the Library tab to open your game collection. If you do not see your games, ensure you are logged into the correct Steam account.

Step 16.
Scroll through your library manually. If you do not find Garry’s Mod (Gmod), continue to the next step.

Step 17.
Locate the search bar within the Library tab. If you cannot find it, look again carefully. It should be near the top of the Steam interface.

Step 18.
Click on the search bar. This will allow you to type.

Step 19.
Type “Gmod” or “Garry’s Mod” into the search bar. Ensure you spell it correctly.

Step 20.
Look at the search results. If Garry’s Mod appears, continue to the next step. If it does not appear, ensure that you own the game. If you do not own the game, purchase it.

Step 21.
Click on Garry’s Mod. This will open the game’s page within your library.

Step 22.
Observe the options available on this page. These include the Play button, settings, and other useful tabs.

Step 23.
Locate the “Workshop” tab. This is where you can find addons for Garry’s Mod.

Step 24.
Click on the “Workshop” tab. Wait for the workshop page to load.

Step 25.
Look at the workshop interface. Notice the various categories and search functions available.

Step 26.
Think about what kind of addon you want to download. This could be a map, a weapon, a vehicle, or something else.

Step 27.
If you already know what addon you want, type its name into the search bar.

Step 28.
If you do not know what addon you want, scroll through the available addons until something catches your interest.

Step 29.
When you find an addon that looks interesting, hover your mouse over it. This allows you to see more details.

Step 30.
Click on the addon’s title to open its dedicated page.

Step 31.
Read the description of the addon carefully. Look at the screenshots. Read the comments to see if the addon has any issues.

Step 32.
If you decide you want the addon, locate the green “Subscribe” button.

Step 33.
Move your mouse cursor over the “Subscribe” button.

Step 34.
Click the “Subscribe” button. This will initiate the download.

Step 35.
Wait for the addon to download. You can monitor the progress in the Steam downloads section.

Step 36.
Once the download is complete, return to your Steam Library by clicking the “Library” tab.

Step 37.
Find Garry’s Mod in your library again by repeating Steps 16–20.

Step 38.
Click the Play button to launch Garry’s Mod.

Step 39.
Wait for Garry’s Mod to load. Depending on your hardware, this may take some time.

Step 40.
Once the main menu appears, admire the interface. Notice the options such as Start New Game, Join Multiplayer, and Addons.

Step 41.
Click on “Start New Game.”

Step 42.
Look through the available maps. Locate the “Flatgrass” map.

Step 43.
Click on “Flatgrass.”

Step 44.
Click the “Start” button to load the map.

Step 45.
Wait for the map to load. Depending on the number of addons you have, this could take a few moments.

Step 46.
Once in the game, look around. Enjoy the vast emptiness of Flatgrass.

Step 47.
Press “Q” to open the spawn menu. Locate the “Addons” tab.

Step 48.
Click on the “Addons” tab.

Step 49.
Find the addon you downloaded.

Step 50.
Spawn the addon in the game.

Step 51.
Enjoy the addon. You are now free.
