Missing IKEA Stuff Pack Fix
By numberghoul
Quick and dirty guide for adding the missing IKEA Stuff back into the game. Theoretically this could work for any packs that I haven't noticed are missing.

Creating the SP8 Folder
Navigate to your Sims 2 Legacy Collection installation folder, you will see a number of folders labeled EP# and SP#. Create a new folder called SP8.
Download the IKEA Stuff fix files
Go to this [archive.org] archive dot org page, click the expand arrow next to ZIP under Download Options, and download the IKEA Home Stuff files fix notated at the bottom of the box.

[IMPORTANT] You will also need the original IKEA Home Stuff files from an original install of The Sims 2.

Copy the files into SP8
First, copy the original IKEA Home Stuff files into the SP8 folder you created earlier. Once that is done, you will extract and copy the files in the fix on top of those files. When prompted you will replace and overwrite the files. When its done, your SP8 folder will look like this:

You're Done!
You will now have the IKEA Home Stuff in your game!

This is great, thank you! Tip for anyone who has UC and is looking for their files: SP8 is in the University Life folder.

@Pdaaaawg looks like you're referring to the Documents folder for the Sims 2, which is not the installation folder. The installation folder will be in your steamapps folder on whichever drive you installed the game. If you right click the game in Steam and go to "Browse Local Files" that will take you to the correct folder.

My Installation folder for Sims 2 Legacy doesn't look like your first image. Trying to search 'EP[number]; or 'SP[number]' doesn't bring anything up either, it just has a load of the normal directories like Collection, Config etc. So I'm not sure where to drop the SP8 folder. Any ideas?

@xKenziee_e You can absolutely give that a try. Because I don't know how Steam/EA would feel about me suggesting other methods of acquiring the IKEA files, I'm only going to advocate for the use of original files from an original install here publicly. I feel like this probably constitutes abandonware and as such is entirely legal, but I'm not a lawyer and don't know for sure. What I will say is from a technical standpoint, as long as the files are the same as the ones that came from the original game they will work with this fix.

I also understand there's another fix out there on github specifically for this release, I haven't looked into it and that might work better. This is just the fix I came up with while poking around in the files the morning of the release before I went to work, lol.
