2FA: Ubisoft Connect Account Currently Does Not Have 2FA Enabled Error
YOUTUBE TUTORIAL AT THE BOTTOM

This error is quite common as new Ubisoft Connect Accounts do not have this required option enabled. However what the error message doesn't tell you is that you need to have 2FA enabled via the mobile authenticator app. If you have it enabled by email Growtopia will not work, and this error will remain.

SOLUTION
To fix this error you will need to go to the Ubisoft Website[www.ubisoft.com] and log into your Ubisoft Connect account. The login menu shlould be at the top right side on the screen. Once you login you must go to the Account Management tab and then to Security.

Once you get to the Security menu you can see the 2FA option. Depending on your current 2FA settings you may see a different menu. It should look like one of these two scenarios below.

Scenario 1 - No 2FA Enabled

If you see this on your screen this means you have no 2FA option currently activated, which is the cause of this error.

However if you see the image below you have Email 2FA enabled currently activated however this will not allow you to play Growtopia using Steam or Ubisoft connect and hence you are recieved the error.

Scenario 2 - Email based 2FA Enabled

Once you see which scenario you have, you will want to click the blue button which will be labelled "Manage" or "Activate" depending on your current settings. This will open another menu and inside this menu you will want to choose or change your 2FA to the the mobile authenticator app option.

This will send you and email which will require you to download the Google Authenticator App to use for 2FA codes. Once you have linked the app to your account it should look like the image below.

Once you have this option enabled, the error will disappear and you will be able to login into Steam Growtopia.

If the Error remains
However if this doesn't happen and the error continues to show you will have to relog the Ubisoft Connect launcher. You can do this by following the Sub-Guide below.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3416870449
Once you logout you will need to simply relog in updating the 2FA protocol. You can now run Growtopia off Steam and the error will disappear.

Further Trouble Shooting Guide
UPDATED : 21st October 2024

Since I first made this guide in July 2024, this error in particular has become a lot more complicated and require more solutions as this error may appear for other reasons than having no/wrong 2FA settings. I will list some common situations where this error may appear and how to solve them.

I have Mobile Authentication but this error still appears

Well, this has begun to become a common issue with the Steam Client however this issue's root cause can't be categorised into the two causes, which both now have reliable solutions. This issue of receiving the error while having Mobile Authentication enabled can be caused by An Error in Ubisoft Connect or Having Mobile authentication incorrectly set up.

Having Mobile authentication incorrectly setup.

When troubleshooting this error is very important that we check that Mobile authentication is correctly set up. You may think or want to skip this stage since you know you've got Mobile Authentication set up, however, in my experience of helping those with this error, the majority of those who try to enable Mobile authentication do it wrong and believe they have it enabled or that they have both "Email and Mobile authentication enabled," which is not possible.

To test if you have the correct settings enabled go to Ubisoft's website (at Ubisoft.com) and log in to your Ubisoft Connect account like how you did when enabling the Mobile authentication 2FA setting. If you have forgotten how to do this, you can find out by scrolling up to the original 2FA error Section. Once you are on the Account Management tab you need to identify whether your account's 2FA is enabled via Email or Mobile authentication, the current 2FA setting will be shown beside a green tick on the Two-Step verification tab. I will show the incorrect settings in a screenshot below:

As you can see from this image, Email 2FA is the primary 2FA setting as "Email" is displayed beside the green tick. The phone number listed below DOES NOT confirm Mobile Authentication which is a mistake many players make. If your settings are the same as this screenshot and shows "Email" as the primary 2FA setting. Then you will have to go back to the original 2FA section and repeat the steps to enable it (READ THE STEPS CAREFULLY)

If you don't have Email 2FA as your primary 2FA setting and it shows Mobile Authentication like so here:

Then your 2FA settings are correct and valid, which leads to your issue being a Ubisoft Connect problem.

Having a Ubisoft Connect Problem.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft Connect's version of Growtopia (including Steam) is quite buggy which is why you are here however this can be fixed very quickly, as all you will need to do is to relog your launcher. In my experience you will have to do this everytime you turn on your PC to play Growtopia Steam, however, it only takes 2 minutes to do. I'll link the relogging sub-guide below.
