Thank you for your help again!
Thank you, I have played this game for less than 100 hours, and there are few Chinese users to discuss with me (as you can see, we just got a Chinese localization patch), and I rarely browse communities like discord, so my understanding of the game mechanics is basically based on my personal feelings. I am very grateful for your additions/corrections and will add these to my guide.
Thank you for your comments again!
9) Radiated Quick Gifts carry over to next runs, while unradiated don't
10) You can reach the same maximum boss levels in Altered Story as in normal story
11) Getting a good score on bosses is actually much more dependent on not getting hit and getting a full combo than on destruction of parts since they are generally a lesser part of the score. Getting radiants does usually require you to break most parts of the boss, but also does ask you to full combo a boss.
12) Fortress (Ventra-like) bosses "high-scoring" parts don't actually have low HP. The scrap parts around them have a very high damage resistance, so destroying a valuable part deals a noticeable damage amount to the boss compared to breaking scrap.
Devil charge shot doesn't get debuffed when you move, so you rely on it while you have to relocate
Alter Heart has an inbuilt focus element swap which allows her to alleviate some issues with picking gift randomly by making sure you always have a variety of elements to use
Alter Defect has less range than Twin Heart
Alter Twin beam DPS scales with average of your minimum and maximum helper DPS, in addition to the length of your helper chain making the charge shot last longer (which also results in beam dealing more damage)
Alter Devil is one of the most useful characters for regular Quick Play, as well as being really good in modes with plentiful helpers like The Towers
7) Full-arena attacks deal 1.5 damage of corresponding element, not 2
4) For each tier 3 power gift you have, your chance of seeing another one is cut in half.
5) Using endless for farming monsters is complicated by the fact bosses in endless give 25% less score compared to other modes. Also, for the first few cycles, bosses have generally lower health than bosses of comparable level in story.
You made an excellent job by making this guide, however, it contains some inaccuracies which i'd like to point out.
1) Charge damage scales linearly with your DPS if you have DPS below the threshold (which is around the default DPS). For each point of DPS above the threshold, it also scales linearly, just a bit slower. The result is that the charge damage has a constant component and a linear one depending on your DPS. Please note that charge damage calculations only consider your DPS without considering crit bubble damage, so a +7% crit rate gift would only result in this parameter increasing by 7% (compared to your DPS increasing by 21%)
2) Paintbrush crit bubble damage depends only on your charge damage and type and doesn't directly scale with crit damage gifts (only through the general charge damage changes).
