Hamburg port utility vessel (Barkasse)

Boats like these - called "Barkasse" - were used in the port of Hamburg from 1920 onwards to transport a small number of workers and goods from one place to another.
With the advent of lorries and containers, the Boats were no longer needed from the 1960s onwards.Nowadays they are mostly used as party boats and for harbour tours. The tour guides in this boats are named "He lücht" which means "He is lying".

This boat is available from 1920 and as harbour tour boat and partyboat from 1960.
