Here im going to explain you how to change Quake 4 language to one of the euro ones.

Introduction
While retail version of Quake 4 is MULTI4, with english, french, italian and spanish as languages. Here I´m going to explain you how to change game language to one of this others.
Needed files
You´re going to need the .pk4 files of your languages

Note: If link gives you errors try this:

right click on the link-->copy link--> copy it on the browser

Steam Screen appears, click on "continue to external link"---> DOWNLOAD

French:

Add languages to game
Just copy the autoexec.cfg and the .pk4 files insidequake 4 q4base, by default is into:

X:\Y\Steam\steamapps\common\Quake 4\q4base Where X: reprecents your drive name, and Y your folder structure.

And just start the game, if language doesnt change just open Quake4Config.cfg with notepad and search for:

seta sys_lang "english"

And change it for example to:

seta sys_lang "spanish"

Save it and launch the game, now you can paly it on your choosen language.

also if your having issues with system admin privilages, go into security properties and add "everyone" to the security list plus make it non read only.
