Yes, there are various well hidden props at work here, and it was quite a challenge to get everything in place... It took me a few days of testing and trying different things. Also I was SUPER lucky with the phase of the moon (this cannot be controlled in director mode... and even changes when you load the clip in the editor). I don't think I can reproduce this exact shot anymore even if I wanted to.

Yes, this is in director mode (otherwise it's quite hard to spawn a cat). The car is a prop, the cat is me.
