The Operator Handbook - mastering the Tactical map
By Alex | Kane
Welcome to Black One Blood Brothers. For new operatives stepping into the action, understanding the Tactical Map (TacMap) is essential to commanding your squad like a true mastermind. This is your battlefield nerve center, accessible with a press of the CAPSLOCK key by default. It provides a complete overview of your squad, objectives, and the mission area—all critical to achieving victory.

Mastering the Tactical Map (TacMap)
1. Assemble Your Squads and Deploy Strategically

When you enter the TacMap, your first mission is to organize your operators. Group them into squads based on their skills and the demands of your objectives. This setup lays the foundation for a precise and effective execution of your strategy.

2. Define Roles for Total Control

Every squad needs a purpose. Designate a sniper team to maintain lethal overwatch, an “Assault 1” squad for a bold main gate insertion, and an “Assault 2” squad to breach a secondary entry point. Your squad roles and formations are limited only by your imagination. Master the battlefield with calculated precision.

3. Plan, Sync, and Adapt

In its default mode, the TacMap freezes time, giving you space to carefully craft every step of your operation. Coordinate simultaneous assaults, assign stances, set behaviors, and even interact with objects in the environment. Every move and command matters. Tailor your strategies to your targets and objectives—no two missions are the same.

Once your strategy is locked in, restore the flow of time and jump into the action. Watch as your plans unfold—or adapt when things don’t go as expected. The TacMap is your ultimate weapon, but the battlefield is unpredictable.

Think. Plan. Dominate.

Thank you for your feedback! This is just an introduction and we will, for sure, reinforce our guides with more details for more experimented players. We're eager to learn more about what YOU need and want 😊

Would be nice if these were released as a series of PDF "booklets"

This is brilliant... but just as @Magnum stated, we need more details... especially when it comes to sync with team actions from different entries or sides. Overall this is a great direction.

Definitely a nice intro for the new players to the tac map, so by all means keep them coming. But I was looking for a little more detail. One of the biggest issues I have in the tac map, even thou it's in the tutorial. Is getting 2 teams to breach, bang, and clear a building from 2 different sides in sync. More details are needed in these tutorial articles. IMO.
