This is a Scenario Map for Singelplayer.

You begin your adventure in the Kingdom of Gondor, specifically within the White City of Minas Tirith. Your objective is to solidify your Kingdom while confronting the Six Dark Forces of Sauron that threaten the World of Middle-Earth!

Beware, as you venture beyond the Kingdom of Gondor... Darkness lurks in the shadows, including Orcs, Uruks, and the terrifying Nazgûl. However, amidst the turmoil, ancient artifacts and hidden treasures await discovery throughout the lands, with special surprises hidden within the treacherous caves of Moria. Prepare for the War of the Ring as you awaken Old Alliances and reshape the World of Men for the better!

Installation of the Map:

1. If the "Middle-Earth Map" folder doesnt appear in the scenario folder you have to reload the mod in the mod manager that can be found ingame. (Steam icon in ingame menu)

2. And if that doesnt work and you still cant find it you must navigate to the mod folder which is normaly in: (Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Age of Mythology\mods\Middle-Earth Map Singelplayer Only (Scenario)\scenario) and copy the "Middle-Earth Map.scx" file and place it in the scenario folder restart AOM if its still open and now the map should definitely appear in the scenarios :)

How to Change Factions in Middle-Earth Map:

The default starting faction is Gondor/Tulkas (P1). If you would like to play as another faction follow these simple steps (which should be familiar to anyone who has used the scenario editor):

1) open the Middle-Earth Map.scx scenario in the Age of Mythology editor
2) go to the "Scenario" drop down (top left) and select "Player Data" from the list
3) in the “Control” column, set control to “Human” for the faction you want to play as
4) click the “Clear AI” button on the right of the faction you want to play as
5) set the control for Gondor (or any other human controlled factions) to CPU
6) click the “AI” button for Gondor and set Gondor’s AI to aomxailoaderaggboom.xs you'll find it under Mods\LOMECore\ai2\
7) you can start the scenario in one of two ways:

Test Play: once you have set controls and AIs, simply go to Scenario and Test Play Scenario and select the player number and difficulty you want to play on. You do not need to save before test playing however, you will not be able to save and resume at a later time.

Play Scenario: once you have set controls and AIs, you will need to also set the player number by, for example, going to Place Object and changing the "Place As" to the player number you want to play as. Save the scenario and return to the main menu. Open in Single Player->Load Scenario. This is the method that most people find most convenient. Just remember that you must set and save the player number to the one you want to play as or you will be forced to play as Gondor/Tulkas in Load Scenario. Unlike playing in the editor, Load Scenario will allow you to save your progress to resume later.
