Larry Ellison joined Tesla's board in 2018, but left in 2022 partly due to his close relationship with Musk, and he defended Musk's capabilities, particularly around the time of significant controversies involving Musk's tweets about taking Tesla private.

Ellison has been a significant investor in Musk's companies. He pledged $1 billion towards Musk's Twitter (now X) acquisition in 2022, demonstrating both his financial support and confidence in Musk's vision for the platform.

The Stargate Project, announced on January 21, 2025, represents a significant collaboration between several major tech entities—namely OpenAI, SoftBank, Oracle, and MGX—to invest in AI infrastructure within the United States. Larry is the co-founder and former CEO of Oracle Corporation and close friends to Elon Musk. He is currently chief technology officer and executive chairman of Oracle Corporation and as of November 13, 2024, he is the third-wealthiest person in the world, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Oracle was initially named after a CIA project called "Oracle," which Ellison worked on while he was at Ampex Corporation. This project was related to developing a database management system for the CIA, which became Oracle's first customer when the company was founded in 1977.

Trump just announced The Stargate Project. One of its projects is developing mRNA vaccines with the help of A.I., to begin with the project to develop an A.I. vaccine against cancer for every person.

The name Stargate Project was historically a U.S. military program focused on investigating psychic phenomena like remote viewing for intelligence purposes. It was officially discontinued in 1995 due to a lack of scientific validation and practical utility (their claim). The name "Stargate Project" has now been revived and is now linked to new initiatives, including the use of AI vaccine development.
