Walkthrough
1. Open File Explorer.

2. Navigate to your downloaded Steam games folder.
- For most people, the path is as follows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
- However, mine is stored in a specialised game drive, so it will be the exact same excluding the beginning "C:".

3. Open the folder labelled "music".

4. Download an audio file you would like to replace either the winning tune with, or the title screen.
- Tip: If it's the Title Screen, don't make it to repetitive (mines the 7 Grand Dad Theme)!
- It can be anything, but after downloading and checking it plays, ensure it is in .ogg format. If it isn't...

5. Convert audio file to .ogg. Not an ogg supremacist, but that's what you gotta do for something like this. If you can't see what type it is or it won't convert, go into File Explorer, open the "View" ribbon, and check the "File Name Extension" box.
- The website often leaves a watermark on your audio in the form of extra text in the file name, so AFTER the conversion is complete, rename it one of two things:
- "odetojoy.ogg" if it will be your victory theme.
- "opening.ogg" if it will be your title screen theme.

6. Cut and paste said .ogg file containing your personalised music into Peggle Deluxe's music folder. If it has been executed correctly, a prompt should appear asking you if you want to replace, skip or cancel the file in the operation. If you care about the music, tuck that away somewhere before replacing, but after that's done, select "replace", and all should be working!

Troubleshooting
- Make sure the audio is in .ogg format.
- Make sure the file is EXACTLY the same name as the original. It is "Cap Sensitive" which means capital letters make a difference. In Peggle's case, ensure they are all lowercase.
- Run your audio again as a .ogg. It could have corrupted through the conversion.
- Check your computer permissions. It is possible only an admin could toy around with previous installations of software.
Debriefing
Was that a long guide for a relatively small outcome?
Yes.
Was it worth it?
I sure hope so.
If you're anything like me, you'll be addicted to this game for about a week or two, leave it to rot for a few months, completely forgotten, then come back to it and hear your tunes. I really enjoy the dynamic myself, and hey, maybe you will too! So go give it a crack!
We'll see you in the next one!
