Chapter 1: Meet Your Emotional Support Protagonist
Lee Everett (Season 1): Your main guy, Lee, starts his journey handcuffed in a police car. Bad luck? No, it’s just Tuesday. Pro tip: Keep an eye on the kid. And by kid, we mean Clementine, the adorable hat-wearing child with a knack for attracting trouble.

Clementine (Seasons 2–4): She’ll grow up faster than you can say “zombie apocalypse.” Season 1 Clementine is cute and innocent. By Season 4, she’s ready to fight walkers and maybe you if you mess up.

Remember: Protect Clementine. Always. If Clementine cries, you’re the real villain.
Chapter 2: Decisions, Decisions
Telltale’s signature gameplay revolves around making choices. Here’s a guide to those gut-wrenching decisions:

1. Lie or Tell the Truth?
Lying can save lives, but also make people hate you. Telling the truth makes you seem noble but will probably get someone killed. You can’t win.

2. Save This Person or That One?
Choose carefully because the one you save will inevitably remind you of your poor decision-making for the rest of the game.

3. Silent Option
Sometimes, staying silent is an option. This will either:

Make you seem wise and mysterious.

Make everyone question your intelligence.
Chapter 3: Zombie Apocalypse Do’s and Don’ts
Do: Keep a weapon handy at all times. Preferably something blunt. Guns are loud, and bullets are rarer than decent people.

Don’t: Befriend anyone overly cheerful. They’ll die tragically, and you’ll feel bad about it for three episodes.

Do: Take supplies whenever you can. Loot like it’s Black Friday.

Don’t: Trust strangers. Friendly people in this world are usually hiding something. Or they’re cannibals.
Chapter 4: Common Types of Characters You’ll Meet
1. The “We’ll Make It Through This” Optimist
Translation: Dead by Episode 3.

2. The Token Jerk™
This guy hates you no matter what. Even if you save his life, he’ll be like, “Why didn’t you save me better?”

3. The Kid Magnet for Danger
It’s a kid. They run into walkers, scream when you’re hiding, and need constant saving. But you’ll still risk everything for them because this is The Walking Dead.

4. The “I’m Totally Fine” Person
Spoiler: They were bitten an hour ago.
Chapter 5: Tips for Specific Seasons
Season 1:

Don’t let Clementine out of your sight. Ever.

Kenny will be your best friend, unless you disagree with him, in which case he will be your sworn enemy.

Prepare for heartbreak. Lots of heartbreak.

Season 2:

Clementine’s the star now. Everyone will expect her to fix their problems, even though she’s, like, 11.

The group’s survival strategy is to argue loudly near walkers. Genius.

Season 3 (A New Frontier):

Meet Javier, the new guy! You’re here to decide whether you care about his problems.

Family drama, walker drama, random-guy-who-hates-you drama. It’s all here!

Season 4 (The Final Season):

Clementine is a full-on badass. Also, AJ, her kid protégé, will ask you philosophical questions like, “Is it okay to kill people?” Good luck with that.

The game ends, but the emotional trauma lasts forever.
Chapter 6: How to Prepare for the Tears
You’ll cry. It’s inevitable. Here’s how to cope:

1. Stock up on tissues. Your favorite characters will die, and it’ll always hurt.

2. Blame yourself. No matter what you do, the game will make you feel like it’s all your fault.

3. Replay the game. Make different choices. Realize they lead to the same heartbreak. Cry again.
Chapter 7: Final Tips for Surviving the Apocalypse
1. Trust no one. Except Clementine.

2. Learn to love chaos. Everything goes wrong all the time, and you just have to roll with it.

3. Enjoy the ride. It’s funny, it’s sad, and it’s one of the best narrative experiences you’ll ever play.

Now go forth, make tough choices, and try to keep Clementine alive. Good luck—you’ll need it.
