Mods! How to install & find RW2 custom content :D [Quick install link provided!]
By uuuhdavid
I decided to make this guide as well as a community forum post since it's pretty obscure knowledge if you've taken a break since launch, only snoop around guides, or aren't active in the discord. Hope it helps -- If you dabble in python, you could even try making your own as well! My own mods folder & links are below.

The Work Already Done: My Own Mods Folder (one mod outdated over time from updates)
If you don't feel like reading below, here's a link to the mods folder I have with some of the best mods available! Drag and drop to your game root. EDIT 4/4/2025: This version of "TCRS Custom Modpack" is outdated and causes crash-to-desktop after 1.0, replace this version with the updated version in the discord. Additionally, install API_TileHazards nowadays for it to work. (Link to that mod is in the TCRSCustomModpack channel within the modding thread of the official RW2 discord server. Installation is easy and instructions are below in the guide.

Finding & Installing Mods: Effective on 1/17/24 for the Staging Build
https://discord.gg/fZ3DauRkVs Here's a discord link to get started. It's the official RW2 discord :>

There's spells, skills, equipment, monsters, and upgrades you can get there! All you need to do is extract the zips you find into the "mods" folder!

To find the mods in the discord, you have to scroll down to the rw2-modding forum specifically (https://prnt.sc/hJcjdHlBdygb)

With my current lineup, I have almost 300 spells in the game, and close to 200 skills

I snagged "TcrsCustomModpack", "ATGMPack", "MoreMonsters", "MoreEquipment", and "DragonMod". The more upgrades mod looked pretty cool, but it seemed to make my game crash to desktop with all these other mods, which makes sense. I got "MoreUpgrades" working as well by going to the forum directly and asking for help!

EDIT 4/4/2025: This process is still applicable. If the game continues to receive post 1.0 updates which it has already and likely will -- you'll need to troubleshoot which mods don't work anymore and snoop around for updates, or politely ask mod creators in associated mod channels that the mod is outdated.
A mod thread doesn't have a zip, what do I do?
If someone has a text embed instead of a zip, you need to click the download button on discord which will give you a .py file. You create a folder in your mods folder, and name it the same name as the .py file. You then put the .py file in the folder. (Once again your mods folder is at the root of your RW2 installation, by rightclicking on the game in steam and clicking browse local files)
The End
Hope this helps someone else even if this is common knowledge for the very active players, because I've googled for mods here n there and haven't really been able to find any.

Here's an example of a custom spell, a lot of them have really cool upgrade names too
