After a short break from Base Taylor and overdosing on the win that is Vietnam VS Thailand earlier this January, I felt refreshed to work on a map again. I had a cyberpunk themed map in the works but a friend of mine distracted me instead and wanted a remaster of BbiCOTKA (i cant be bothered to write the russian one just stick with me here). I've heard of the map before and didn't really care much for it but decided to take a gander in remastering it properly to fit my 2025 Source Engine needs.

I picked the most modern iteration of BbiCOTKA and started work. What became of the development was a protracted battle with balancing my own style, updating the atmosphere to be more modern while keeping the original vibes. This involved painstakingly looking over the original versions of BbiCOTKA, taking a bunch of references and consulting with people who are living or have lived in Russia to make it as accurate as I can. Eventually I ditched the grimy Eastern European look. There's also the issue with it being a GoldSrc game so many things didn't really translate over very well. I am very proud of the result although there are slightly weird kinks to be ironed out.
