Introduction
To explain how to make your guide beautiful, I'll be updating my Ghost Recon Breakpoint 100% Achievement Guide:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3385578626
It'll look similar to this one, so you don't need to check it out if you don't want to.

I'll be try to explain as generally as possible so this advice isn't constrained to an achievement guide.

First step:

Is there a guide that you said "It looks great"? Use it!
In my case, I've been inspired by three guides:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2422040047
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2211042472
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3356760697

I'll be using some of their techniques here, so shoutout to them.
Structuring
The main thing to understand is that we want to make a good hierarchy so the guide looks good and is easy to navigate as well.

Think something like this:

Thematic
Section
Contents

Mine can work like this:
  • Introduction
  • Missions
    • Story
    • Factions
  • Open World
    • Exploration
    • Combat
    • Stealth
  • Erewhon
    • Maria's Shop
    • Other
  • Menus
    • Equipment
    • Skills
  • Multiplayer
    • Co-op
    • PvP

The problem we'll face is:
  • That Steam Guides
  • Work
  • And look
  • Like
  • A list
So we need to visually separate each part. For this:
Thematic
Think of it as the title of a chapter in a book.

To make it distinct
You could use text or an image.

Using text
The simplest way to make it nice is to have a different looking font from the rest by using Boldness, Italics or Both.
For example:

Missions
You can also, of course, mix it up using emojis:

🗺️ Missions

Using an image
If you have access to photo editing software, you can make custom images for your sections.
For example:
Missions

There's not a particular size that's perfect, so you could technically do one as big as you want.
However, as a rule of thumb, don't make it too tall.

Instead of 1920x1080, try 1920x480. That's a 4:1 aspect ratio. Wide enough but could be even wider if you want. Try different sizes until you find one you like.

To put it as a title, place the image in the contents and the copy-paste it in the title.

The biggest problem with this method is that, when you click the section from the Table of contents, it'll open the image. I haven't found a workaround.

Text
To not have only the title, you could add some text like a little explanation of what will happen in that section of the guide.
Section
This will be another Section where we'll go in depth with whatever we're talking about.

Titling
To make it distinct, you could use the previous advice minus the one you already used.
Also, you could use dashes (-) here too.

For example

Missions
- Mission 1
(Taken from Reference 2)

Or

🗺️ Missions
⠀⠀⌞ Mission 1
(Taken from Reference 1)

Even

Alt-Text
🗺️ Mission 1
(Taken from Reference 3)

Text
Now you can write the actual guide here. Go crazy if you want!
Contents
Opposed to the previous parts, this one isn't a separate Guide Section. You just need to add Contents to your Section.

For one, images are a great addition to make the guide easier to read instead of having a wall of text.

If you want to make even more sections inside the one you're on, instead of making another, you could use H1, H2 and H3.
Written like this:
H1

H2

H3
You get:

H1
H2
H3

BUT you need to keep one thing in mind: Section Contents have a character limit of 8,000. You need to take that into consideration. That's why we've been dividing our guide.
Closing Thoughts
I hope this guide gave you some inspiration for your own guides!

Thanks for reading.
