DE Tram | Duewag TW6000 (Hannover)

The TW6000 is a type of light rail vehicle used by the Üstra in Hanover. When construction of the tunnel sections and the conversion of the tram network into a light rail network began in 1965, a new vehicle type had to be developed to be able to serve low and high platforms. Duewag and LHB built 260 units of this type from 1974 to 1993, 55 of them are still in service in Hannover today but will get replaced with newer vehicles in the coming years. 123 TW6000s got sold to BKV Zrt in Budapest, where they serve multiple lines of the Budapest tramway. You can couple up to three sets.
