Infantry

  • Officer: Leads an infantry squad, places outposts/garrisons, and communicates with the Commander.

  • Rifleman: Versatile infantry role providing ammo resupply to teammates.

  • Automatic Rifleman: Provides suppressive fire with a light machine gun.

  • Assault: Focuses on close-quarters combat with grenades and submachine guns.

  • Medic: Revives and heals wounded teammates.

  • Support: Carries supplies for building outposts and garrisons.

  • Engineer: Constructs defensive structures, bridges, and resource nodes.

  • Anti-Tank: Specialized in destroying enemy armor with rockets or anti-tank weapons.
Recon

  • Sniper: Long-range precision shooter for picking off high-value targets.
Armor

  • Tank Commander: Leads a tank crew and coordinates actions.

  • Gunner: Operates the tank’s main gun to engage enemies.

  • Driver: Drives the tank and positions it effectively.
Artillery

  • Artillery Crew: Operates artillery guns to provide long-range fire support.
TIP: Teamplay
  • Hell Let Loose has proximity chat, and in general, you should approach the game with a spirit of cooperation. Hopefully (unless you're with people you know) you will get matched with people who also want to work together. Going solo just isn't practical in this game.
TIP: It's not COD
  • Unlike Call of Duty or Battlefield, Hell Let Loose prioritizes strategy over fast-paced action. Focus on finding cover, scouting enemies, and avoiding "run-and-gun" tactics.

  • For cover, use bushes or objects to block sightlines while running, or crouch in a bush to scout. Lean around corners using E or Q.

  • If you find a vehicle like a tank, press F to enter and use function keys for roles: F1 (driver), F2 (gunner), F3 (spotter). As a spotter, ping with the middle mouse button and provide compass-based directions.
TIP: Peeking & Shooting
  • When using cover, don't just crouch down then stand up to fire more shots. The enemy is most likely "pre-aiming" and watching the same spot where you emerged from.

  • Change it up and move somewhere else before re-emerging. Catch them off guard and gun them down before they react. But avoid being predictable by peeking out from the same spot in your cover.
TIP: Listen to CMD/Officer
  • Listening to your Squad Officer and Commander is essential in this game. Depending on your role, follow their instructions. For example, if the Commander requests nodes, Engineers should build them, often with help from Support, who can drop Supply Crates.

  • If there are already Supplies in the area from a Supply Drop, Supply Truck, or Crate, additional Support may not be needed unless Supplies are low in that area.

  • The Commander also marks key points on the map, like Garrisons, Outposts, or enemy Infantry. If your Officer or Commander pings a tank and you’re playing as Anti-Tank Infantry, prioritize taking it out.

  • In short, focus on communication, teamwork, and following orders for success. It's self explanatory.
TIP: Objectives
  • Chevrons shown above and beside a Strong Point are indicators of how quickly they can be captured. The speed depends on whether you're playing in Warfare or Offensive modes.

  • Warfare is a tug of war between which each side struggles to maintain objectives, while in Offensive one side is defensive against the other. Offensive game modes have sectors, which are only active at certain points, and those are the ones that you need to capture.

Good post dude
Maybe you can correct for the support roles, the supplies he carry can not help to build outpost (only garrison) but can help to build structures for engineer ;)

Great advice. Here's a good tip. Recon is a powerful class but all to often you see snipers just gunning for kills. Kills are great but the sniper and spotter must ensure they are doing their main job; recon. Scout for tanks, hunt for garrisons, probe for weaknesses, call in friendly artillery bombardment on hotspots, and on some maps making it an objective to suppress enemy artillery fire. A single man with a scoped rifle is more scary than a tiger tank if the pair are working together and communicating in unison rather than the sniper abandoning his partner and aiming for a high kill game.
