How to fix Install size to correct 6GB instead of 12GB

The Steam version of this game installs as 12GB, it should only be 6.5GB. The publisher left duplicate folders in the game directory, this guide shows you which to delete.

I'm not sure what the publisher did to screw-up the Steam release like this, but the data is doubled in the game increasing the size by over 6gb.

To fix: Open BlazBlue game directory. One way is to go to the game properties window in Steam, then on the "Local Files" tab, click "Browse Local Files".

In the game directory, first open the "data" folder.

Delete the folders: "bg" and "sound"

Next, open the "Story" folder

Delete the folders: "SE", "Voice", and "VoiceEng"

You can now close Windows Explorer, and you should be able to continue playing the game as normal. The directory size is now about 6.5 GB instead of 12GB. What you'll notice is we deleted duplicate copies of the folders that we need to keep. The folders that you need for the game are the ones that end with "XACT" in the folder names.

I was wondering why a game this small had the second largest GB next to Central Fiction, thanks for this and I'll keep it in mind if I happen to ever run out of space in my computer

im so fucking pissed i just spent 6 fucking hours downloading this game and half of it is the same files. thanks for telling me this i guess

Since i always have space issues, i often have to delete games to play others, so this helps quite a lot.
I tested with the files both in the recycle bin and when completely deleted and it works!
