The game is incompatible with Window's full screen optimizations (FSO). It can be disabled by setting compatibility options on the game's executable. (AFAIK there is a mechanism for games to opt out of FSO and/or add compatibility options like that by default, but this game didn't ATM)

  1. Right click the game in Steam -> Manage -> Browse Local Files.

  2. Right click the game executable CrossCode.exe and select Properties.

  3. Enable "Disable fullscreen optimizations" and hit OK.

  4. Hopefully enjoy the game without annoying flickering.
