Cyberpunk City - Cultural Plaza

The hub location for my GeneFunk 2090 campaign set in Busan, South Korea. The map features quite a few decorated businesses, a lot of environmental storytelling, some neat tricks like spinning neon billboards and animated holograms, as well as a few hidden secrets.

"A working class neighborhood situated near New Port in the Gangseo District, named Little Shanghai for the large amount of chinese workers living there. Despite the primary influence of chinese culture in this area, it has become a minor tourist attraction due to the varied mix of cultural businesses in the area, such as a japanese ramen shop, a 1950s style american diner and a french hotel. The market regularly held on Culture Plaza also hosts a varied selection of cultural goods, from Moroccan carpets to cheese from the Netherlands.

Little Shanghai is well known as Shanghai Triads turf, and they keep violence and crime to a minimum there, likely to avoid attracting badges to their doorstep. Most criminal activity is in this area is kept low profile, and of a transactional nature."
