The M89R2A Heavy Salvage Frame is a purpose-built and highly adaptable vessel, designed to excel in the support of wartime battlefield reclamation operations. Typically issued with two companion Heavy Utility Vehicles, it boasts a mid-range storage capacity of approximately 2.5 million liters and is equipped with eight mag clamps for securing larger, intact salvage. While it is most effective within the structure of a larger fleet, serving dual roles as a support and transport craft, the vessel does come equipped with two Jump Drives and basic crew comforts suitable for short-duration solo operations.

The vessel's durable frame-like construction and substantial fuel reserves have also proven invaluable for alternative uses. In remote regions or resource-scarce areas, the M89R2A is frequently repurposed as a foundation for minor waystations or fuel depots, delivering essential infrastructure to the outer reaches.
