It depends on what you prefer. I plan to keep this version updated and maintained (since I use it myself). The original mod has some built-in features that this one doesn’t, like native support for Britas/Arsenal and more language options (this one only supports English and Brazilian Portuguese). So it's really up to what fits your needs better.

@Voguh: alright, thanks for clarify that. I'm hosting a new dedicated server for the first time, what would you suggest I'm using, this or the original one? - since the OG is no longer updated?

This is a standalone mod; it is a rework of Better Sorting, following the same category principles with some changes and/or fixes (listed above) that made more sense to me.
Additionally, it includes a compatibility layer called `Better Sorting Revamped - BetterSortCC Compatibility` to enable compatibility with mods that somehow support the original Better Sorting (in practice, it simply adds the ItemTweakerAPI so that mods supporting the original Better Sorting also work, and registers a mod with the same ID as the original Better Sorting).

I'm a bit confused here, so this is an "update/patch" to the original or a standalone (with update) entirely?

This mod is a rework/reimplementation of Better Sorting. Mods that support it probably detect its existence through its ID, "BetterSortingCC". This mod has the ID "BetterSortingRevamped". I could probably create an extra mod (to be distributed along with this one) that uses the same ID, just to enable support and add the ItemTweakerAPI (which the original Better Sorting has built-in). Right now, I don't have much time to work on mods, but as soon as I can, I'll look into it.

Looks great man, love Better Sorting but yeah it's missing a lot of compat and thus has some inconsistencies. All still works well enough especially for manual storage depo, but a universal arrangement is always so nice for auto deposit options. Since this mod impacts only a few mods and specific changes, is it fine to use with some other Better Sorting compat/category expansions?
