What do cards and characters do in Astral Party? (Teru Update)

The translation of this game isn't the best, and lacks formal keywords, leading to confusion on how passive skills, active skills and cards interact.
This is a guide (Or more accurately, something of a glossary) of what all the playable cards and character skills do in Astral Party.

Keyword Definition
To better indicate how cards function, I've created keywords. A keyword is used to generalise how certain effects work. Below is the description of each of the keywords I've created.

Deal - Player attributed damage. If you deal damage to someone and they are KO'd, they give you their KO reward.

Take - All forms of damage. You can deal damage to a player, and they will "Take" that damage. However, causing a player to be KO'd from directly "Taking" damage (and not dealing it) will result in them dropping their coins.

Active - Not currently KO'd.

Unit - Any entity on the board. Both Players and Monsters are Units.

Target - effect selection, can be countered with Counter cards.

Choose - effect selection, cannot be countered with Counter cards.

Select - either Targeting or Choosing.

Ally - Player aligned with you.

Enemy - Unit not aligned with you.

Ends - When an effect expires naturally (via duration reaching 0 or stack removal).

Remove - If an effect is removed, it does not count as it ending.

"Heal" - The status effect "Heal", not to be confused with healing HP directly.
"Heal" heals 1 HP per stack at the start of the player's turn, and half of the stacks expire at the end of the player's turn, rounded up. This means that if a player's turn ends with 3 stacks of Heal, they will lose 2 of them.

Starlight - Gain 1 extra coin per stack of Starlight each Round Reward (Every 3rd turn).

Mark - When you take damage, take 1 more damage.

Card play - You can play 1 more effect card during your turn. This hard caps at 9 cards in 1 turn.

Counter - Stacks of this allow you to counterattack after being attacked.

PVE Map Specific

Effect Cards (Introduced in PVP)
                                               Chocolate Cake
                                                   Heal 2 HP.

                                                  Hamburger
                                                  Heal 4 HP.

                                           Fight Fire with Fire
                                                                                                        Take 2 damage.
                                                        For the next 2 turns, heal 3 HP at the start of your turn.
                                                                           This effect is removed if you are KO'd.

                                                                                                       Self-Explosion
                                                                                                         Take 3 damage.
                                                Other active players up to 5 panels away take 5 damage.

                                               Random Portal
                                                                                 Teleport to a random Portal panel.

                                                 Redirection
                                                When you start moving, you can select your movement direction.

                                                   Smart Dice
                                              Select a number from 1 to 6. You move that many spaces this turn.
                                          This does not count as rolling a dice, and overrides dice rolling effects.

                                                   All or Nothing
                                                   Gain +5 ATK. In the next battle, your opponent cannot evade.
                                              If you don't KO your opponent, you are KO'd. (You drop half your coins.)
                                                              This effect does not stack, and is removed if you are KO'd.

                                                   Slingshot
                                                      Target an active enemy player up to 10 panels away.
                                                                                          Deal 2 damage to them.

                                                   Laser Beam
                                                      Target an active enemy player up to 6 panels away.
                                                                                          Deal 3 damage to them.

                                                     Brick
                                                      Target an active enemy player up to 3 panels away.
                                                                                          Deal 5 damage to them.

                                                Expired Bento
                                                        Target an active player up to 6 panels away.
                                                                                                  They take 2 damage.
                                            At the start of their next turn, they take an additional 2 damage.
                When this effect ends, set a "Mysterious X" trap on the affected player's current panel.
                      When Mysterious X is triggered, the player that triggered the trap takes 3 damage.
                                                     This effect is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

                                                     Snatch
                                                        Steal 5 coins from target active enemy player.

                                                    Berserk
                                                        Target an active player up to 10 panels away.
                                                        For 2 turns, they gain +3 ATK, and take 1 extra damage.
                                                     This effect is removed if if the affected player is KO'd.

                                                    Soul Link
                                                                                                Choose 2 active players.
  For 3 turns, when one of these players take damage, the other player takes equivalent damage.
                                                                    This effect is removed if either player is KO'd.

                                                  Time Bomb
                                                   The next active player gains a "Time Bomb" effect.
                                            At the start of their turn, the affected player rolls a 6 sided dice.
                                                                                If they roll a 1: Take 99 damage.
          If they roll a 2-6: Remove this effect, and give a "Time Bomb" effect to the next active player.
                                                  This effect is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

                                               Scavenging
                                                        Collect all dropped coins up to 3 panels away.

                                               Entrapment
                                                                               Set a trap up to 3 panels away.
                           When triggered, you steal 5 coins from the player who triggered the trap.
                                               Demolition
                                                                               Set a trap up to 3 panels away.
                              When triggered, the player that triggered the trap takes 3 damage.

                                                   Barricade
                                      Set a barricade up to 10 panels away. This does not count as a trap.
                           Players stop their movement on the affected panel.
Effect Cards (Introduced in PVE)
                                               King's Power
                                               Take 4 damage.
                                           Gain +5 ATK for 3 turns.
                               This effect is removed if you are KO'd.

                                                   Immovable
                                             Gain +6 DEF for 2 turns.
                                            This effect does not stack.
                                 This effect is removed if you are KO'd.

                                                   Hurry Hurry
                                             Choose an active ally.
                           The next time that ally rolls to move, they roll 2 dice.
                   This effect does not stack, and is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

                                               Luxurious Feast
                                             Choose an active ally.
                     All active allies up to 3 panels away from that ally heal 3 HP.

                                                  Support
                                           Choose another active player.
                     Teleport to that player's panel. You copy their movement direction.

                                             What you have, I have
                                           Choose another active ally.
                                         You and that ally draw 1 card.

                                               Anti-Monster Laser
                                      Target an enemy up to 6 panels away.
                                             Deal 3 damage to them.

                                                                                                                Blast
                                   Target an enemy up to 6 panels away.
                   Deal 4 damage to all enemies up to 2 panels away from that enemy.

                                               Anti-Monster Brick
                                   Target an enemy up to 3 panels away.
                                             Deal 5 damage to them.

                                                       Railgun
                                     Target an enemy up to 5 panels away.
                                             Deal 6 damage to them.

                                                     Firecrackers
                                       Target an enemy up to 10 panels away.
         Deal 3 damage to them, and remove all stacks of Atmosphere and Battle Momentum.
                                     The enemy cannot counterattack this turn.


Spoilered for questionable card art:
                                              It's Their Fault
                                             Choose a player.
         They take 2 damage, and gain the "Problem Student" status. You gain 3 coins.
             This effect does not stack, and is removed if the affected player is KO'd.
                  If this card is in your hand at the end of your turn, take 2 damage.

Despite being shown by the game as only one damage instance, it applies damage once per card. This is relevant for Lulu's passive skill, as well as things that modify instances of damage (Ren's active skill and Berserk).
Effect Cards (Introduced in Gift Battle)
                                               Directed Boost
                                           Gain +3 Move this turn.
                   When you start moving, you can select your movement direction.

                                              Snowball Attack
                            Target an active enemy player up to 9 panels away.
                                       Deal 2 damage to that player.
                     That player gains -4 Move next turn. This effect does not stack.

Effect Cards (Character Specific)
                                             Talisman: Fortune
                                                                                                          Choose an ally.
                                                                                                 Heal that ally by 2 HP.
                                                                                                     Gain 1 card play.

                                               Talisman: Misfortune
                                                                                   Target an enemy up to 10 panels away.
                                                                                            Deal 1 damage to that enemy.
                                                     At the end of your turn, take 1 damage if you are holding this card.

                                         Living Page (PVP)
                                                                             Choose a player up to 5 panels away.
                                                       Deal 2 damage to them, and they gain 1 stack of Mark.
                                                                                    This card cannot be countered.

                                        Living Page (PVE)
                                                                     Choose an enemy up to 5 panels away.
                                                      Deal 2 damage to them, and they gain 1 stack of Mark.
                                 If the enemy had 3 or more stacks of Mark, gain +1 card play this turn.
Counter Cards
                                                    Barrier
                                   Cancel the effect card targeting you.

                                               Random Select
              Change the target of an effect card from you to a random active player.

                                               Eye for an Eye
                  Change the target of an effect card from you to the previous card's user.

Season 1 Characters
Mimi
Active Skill: Discard your hand, and draw the amount of cards discarded +1.

Passive Skill: For each Battle Card discarded, gain 1 coin.

Potential/b]: When you draw a card, gain 1 stack of "Mimi".
At the end of your turn, if you have 25 or more stacks of "Mimi", lose 25 stacks and select 1 chip.
(This inherits your chip chances).


Parunan
Active Skill: Open a card shop as if you were passing by a shop panel.
Gain 1 coin when visiting a shop.

Passive Skill: Shops stock 2 Battle Cards.


Fanny
Active Skill: At the end of your turn, trigger an event.

Passive Skill: After triggering an event, gain 3 coins.

Potential/b]: Your active skill changes to "Choose one of two events to trigger."
(The same event can be shown twice).


Alana
Active Skill: For 1 turn, gain immunity to traps, and cannot be battled.
Trigger your passive Skill if it is not already activated.

Passive Skill: Gain +3 ATK if no damage was taken since the start of your previous turn.
This effect does not stack, and resets upon damage.

Potential/b]: Your active skill gains the additional effect "You cannot be counterattacked or damaged until the start of your next turn".


Komachi
Active Skill: You can play 1 additional Effect Card this turn.

Passive Skill: Every third Effect Card you play is added back to your hand.


Padman
Active Skill: This turn, the maximum possible bonus from your passive will be applied.

Passive Skill: Gain a random bonus to your stats that changes each turn: ATK -2 to +2, DEF -2 to +2, Move -2 to +2.

Potential/b]: When you roll a 6, the enemy DEF is reduced to 0 for this battle.
When you have a natural 1 for any roll, gain 1 stack of "Padman" (Max 1.)
When you attack with a "Padman" stack, consume it to guarantee a roll of 6 for ATK.


Papara
Active Skill: If your current HP is above 50% of your Max. HP, take 3 damage.
For 1 turn, heal HP equal to 50% of the damage you deal in battle.

Passive Skill: If your HP is at 50% of Max. HP or below, gain +3 ATK.


Ren
Active Skill (PVP): Choose an active enemy player up to 8 panels away.
Steal a random card from their hand.
If it was an Effect Card, gain a Shiyu-Shiyu Shield.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an active ally.
They draw a card and gain a Shiyu-Shiyu Shield.

Passive Skill (PVP): Start the game with a Shiyu-Shiyu Shield.
A Shiyu-Shiyu Shield reduces the next damage you take by 3.
This effect does not stack.

Passive Skill (PVE): Start the game with a Shiyu-Shiyu Shield.
A Shiyu-Shiyu Shield reduces the next damage you take by 3.
This effect does not stack.
When you use your active skill on another ally, if they are at 50% of Max. HP or below, you also draw a card and gain a Shiyu-Shiyu Shield.

Potential/b]: When a Shiyu-Shiyu Shield is gained, the affected unit also gains 1 stack of Counter.
(BUG: This does not seem to apply to her start of game shield).


Z3000
Active Skill (PVP): Choose an active enemy player up to 7 panels away.
Deal 1 damage to them, and pull them to your panel.
They gain -2 Move next turn.
This effect is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an enemy up to 7 panels away.
Deal 5 damage to them, and pull them to your panel.
Can only be used once per turn.

Passive Skill (PVP): After using "Expired Bento", "Hamburger", "Chocolate Cake" or "Fight Fire with Fire", set a "Mysterious X" trap on your current panel.
When Mysterious X is triggered, the player that triggered the trap takes 3 damage.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you KO an enemy, reduce your Active Skill's cooldown by 2.


Pandaman
Active Skill (PVP): Draw either "Self-Explosion" or "Eye for an Eye".

Active Skill (PVE): Draw either "Chocolate Cake" or "Hamburger".

Passive Skill (PVP): When you heal HP, heal an additional 2 HP.
When you are damaged, take 1 extra damage.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you use either "Chocolate Cake" or "Hamburger", heal all other active allies up to 5 panels away by 2 HP.


Lulu
Active Skill (PVP): Choose an active enemy player up to 10 panels away.
For 2 turns, they gain -3 Move.
This effect does not stack, and is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an active ally up to 10 panels away.
They gain 3 stacks of "Heal".
This effect is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

Passive Skill (PVP): After taking damage, reduce your Active Skill's cooldown by 1.

Passive Skill (PVE): After taking damage, gain 1 stack of "Heal" and reduce your Active Skill's cooldown by 1.


Fen
Active Skill (PVP): Heal 2 HP.
If your Passive Skill is activated, gain +3 ATK for 1 turn.

Active Skill (PVE): Heal 2 HP.
If your Passive Skill is activated, gain +4 ATK for 1 turn.

Passive Skill: If you do not initiate a battle during your turn, gain +2 ATK and +2 DEF at the end of your turn.
This does not stack, and is removed when you next initiate a battle.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you use your active skill, Zhao gains 1 Talisman: Fortune.
Season 2 Characters
HaiQing
Active Skill (PVP): Choose an active player.
For 2 turns, that player takes 1 extra damage.
If this effect is removed, you gain 4 coins.
If the effect ends, the player heals 4 HP.
This effect is removed if the affected player is KO'd.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an enemy.
For 2 turns, that enemy takes 1 extra damage.
If this effect is removed, you gain 3 coins.
This effect is removed if the affected enemy is KO'd.

Passive Skill: Gain 6 coins if your end result for move is 6.


Misaki
Active Skill (PVP): Choose an active enemy player up to 4 panels away.
Deal 2 damage to that player. Gain 1 stack of Sword Gust (Max. 3).

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an enemy up to 4 panels away.
Deal 2 damage to that enemy. Gain 1 stack of Sword Gust (Max. 3).

Passive Skill: Gain 1 stack of Sword Gust each time you successfully evade an attack or damage an enemy in battle. (Max. 3).
Gain +1 ATK per stack, and an additional +2 ATK if you have all 3 stacks.
Remove all Sword Gust stacks on KO.

Potential/b]: Legendary Sword: Gawu Cut cards that you hold have a cost of 3 instead of 4.
When you use your active skill on an enemy while you have 3 stacks of Sword Gust, consume 2 stacks to draw 1 Legendary Sword: Gawu Cut.
Increase the range of your Active Skill to 6.


Nardis
Active Skill: Draw 3 temporary cards.
They are discarded at the end of your turn.

Passive Skill: When you initiate a battle, gain +1 ATK for each additional card you have in your hand compared to your opponent (Max. +3 ATK).


Jasmine
Active Skill: For 1 turn, gain -3 DEF and +3 Move.

Passive Skill: Gain 1 stack of "Step Charge" equal to your end result for move.
For every 13 stacks of "Step Charge", alternate between permanently gaining +1 ATK and +1 DEF, starting with ATK.


Luka
Active Skill (PVP): Roll two 6 sided dice for movement this turn.
This overrides other dice rolling effects.
Deal damage to active enemies you pass equal to 50% of the panels travelled from the start of your current movement (rounded up).
You cannot initiate a battle while moving this turn.

Active Skill (PVE): Roll two 6 sided dice for movement this turn.
This overrides other dice rolling effects.
Deal damage to enemies you pass equal to your ATK+2.
You cannot initiate a battle while moving this turn.

Passive Skill: When you pass by or stop at a Check Point, reduce your Active Skill's cooldown by 2.
This can only trigger once per turn.


Nancy Lu
Active Skill (PVP): Initiate a battle with an active enemy player that is further than 6 panels away.
This battle does not trigger a discard effect from your passive.

Active Skill (PVE): Initiate a battle with an enemy.
This battle does not trigger a discard effect from your passive.
If the enemy is further than 3 panels away, gain counterattack immunity for this battle.

Passive Skill (PVP): At the start of the turn, if there are no active enemy players up to 3 panels away, draw a Battle Card, and gain +1 ATK and +1 DEF until the start of your next turn.
After finishing a battle with an enemy that you initiated, discard all Battle Cards from your hand.

Passive Skill (PVE): At the start of the turn, if there are no enemies up to 3 panels away, draw a Battle Card, and gain +2 ATK and +2 DEF until the start of your next turn.
After finishing a battle with an enemy that you initiated, discard the leftmost Battle Card from your hand.

(This is presumably a bug, and should be a random card.)
Season 3 Characters
Megas
Active Skill (PVP):Discard your hand.
For every 2 cards discarded, deal 2 damage to a random active enemy player.

Active Skill (PVE):Discard your hand.
For every 2 cards discarded, deal 3 damage to a random enemy up to 6 panels away.
For every Battle Card discarded, total the cost.
For each 3 points of this total (rounded up), your Active Skill deals 1 extra damage per hit.

Passive Skill: Draw 1 card at the end of your turn if you have less than 5 cards in hand.


Zhao
Active Skill (PVP): This turn, any HP above Max. HP is converted to 1 Star Coin per HP.
Discard all "Misfortune Talisman" cards in your hand, and gain a "Fortune Talisman" for each card discarded +1.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an ally.
Apply "Bai Ze's Blessing" to that ally.
This turn, for each point of healing they receive beyond Max. HP, they gain +1 ATK.
Discard all "Misfortune Talisman" cards in your hand, and gain a "Fortune Talisman" for each card discarded +1.

Passive Skill: When you get a natural 1, gain 1 Talisman: Misfortune.
When you get a natural 6, gain 1 Talisman: Fortune.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you use a Talisman: Fortune on Fen, trigger her passive Skill if it is not already activated.


A.L.
Active Skill (PVP): Choose another character, and then choose 1-3 cards in your hand.
Send those cards to that character, and steal 3 coins for each card sent.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose an ally, and then choose 1-3 cards in your hand.
Send those cards to that ally, and gain 1 coin for each card sent.

Passive Skill (PVP): When you gain coins, gain +2 ATK and +1 DEF for 1 round.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you cause another character to gain cards, you and that character gain 1 stack of Starlight.
For every 7 stacks of Starlight, gain +1 ATK and +1 DEF.


Rin

Active Skill: Gain +3 range on Effect Cards, and draw 1 Living Page.
This does not affect the radius of AoE effects.

Passive Skill (PVP): Whenever an event is triggered, draw 1 Living Page.

Passive Skill (PVE): Whenever an event is triggered, draw 1 Living Page.
After using Living Page, permanently increase the damage of Living Page by 1.


Teru

Active Skill (PVP): Choose another character.
Apply "Divine Invocation" to that character for 1 turn.
Until the start of your next turn, gain ATK and DEF equal to their ATK and DEF.

Active Skill (PVE): Choose another ally.
Apply "Divine Invocation" to that ally for 1 turn.
Until the start of your next turn, gain ATK and DEF equal to half of their ATK and DEF.
When that ally attacks, does not KO the enemy and you have at least 1 stack of "Fox Fire", pursue their attack for (Your ATK-Enemy DEF) damage (Min. 1) and then consume 1 stack of "Fox Fire".

(Clarification: The stat buffs only counts the stats at time of status application.)

Passive Skill (PVP): When you or a character affected by "Divine Invocation" plays an ATK card with 2 or more cost, gain 1 stack of "Fox Fire".
After using your active skill, steal 1 coin for each stack of "Fox Fire" from the chosen character.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you or a character affected by "Divine Invocation" plays an ATK card with 2 or more cost, gain 1 stack of "Fox Fire".
Each stack of "Fox Fire" grants +1 ATK while pursuing.
Crossover Characters
KAngel
Active Skill (PVP): Gain 2 coins. Gain an additional 1 coin for each "Fan" status on an enemy.
The maximum amount of coins that can be gained by this Skill is 7.
If there are 3 or more "Fan" statuses, heal 3 HP.

Active Skill (PVE): Gain 1 coin. Gain an additional 1 coin for each time the "Fan" status has been applied this game.
The maximum amount of coins that can be gained by this Skill is 7.
If the "Fan" status was applied 3 or more times, heal 3 HP.

Passive Skill (PVP): Enemies that attack or are attacked by you gain the "Fan" status.
Enemies with the "Fan" status gain -1 ATK when attacking you. When you are KO'd, remove all "Fan" statuses.

Passive Skill (PVE): Enemies that attack or are attacked by you gain the "Fan" status.
Enemies with the "Fan" status gain -1 ATK when attacking you.

Passive Skill (PVE): When you have an Ame-chan as an ally, when you take damage, Ame-chan gains 1 stack of "Love" (Max. 4).


Ame-chan
Active Skill: For each stack of "Love", heal 1 HP and gain +1 Move this turn.
At the end of your turn, remove all "Love" stacks.

Passive Skill: When you take damage, gain 1 stack of "Love" (Max. 4).
Gain +1 ATK and -1 DEF for each stack of "Love".
Start the game with 2 stacks of "Love".

Passive Skill (PVE): When you have a KAngel as an ally, enemies that attack or are attacked by you gain the "Fan" status.
Enemies with the "Fan" status gain -1 ATK when attacking you.

Thanks! I forgot to update Lulu's PVE passive, so thanks for reminding me.

I'll have to investigate the Nancy passive first, but if it's true thanks for pointing it out!

Lulu also gains 1 stack of 'Heal' while taking damage in PVE mode, which can greatly improve her survivability.
In PVE mode, Nancy Lu will discard her leftmost battle card after finishing a battle with an enemy that her initiated, not random. It means you can control what card you discard, which is pretty useful in PVE mode.
