Gameplay Basics
It all starts with a slap...
Well, no, actually, it starts with you clicking 'Play Game', but still.

Getting Started
Starting out, as mentioned before, begins with you clicking 'Play Game' in the main menu upon fresh install. You'll be greeted with the default butt (Ada Bunny) and the default background. From here, start slapping! You'll start with a single hand and a slow, steady rate of slapping. At the very bottom lies a slap count, counting up the slaps you have accrued during your current save.

NOTE: Your slaps and backgrounds are saved locally. There is no cloud save for them yet! If you uninstall and reinstall the game, you will lose your slaps and backgrounds.

Upgrades
This is where the clicker genre part of the game comes in. At the top left of the screen will be a set of three stylized white lines. Click this and find the 'Upgrades' option. This is how you can start kicking the game up a notch. You have the option to upgrade these three aspects of the game:
  • Secondary Hand -- This can only upgraded once, but it grants you your second hand. That hand can be used in conjunction with the first by clicking the right and left mouse buttons at the same time.
  • Slap Cooldown -- This has three upgrades, each level significantly improving the speed of your hand(s).
  • Auto-Slap -- This also has three upgrades, each level having increased speeds. Once you have it at max level, it'll slap at max speed with both hands.

TIP: To get through the beginning of the game before I maxed out my Auto-Slap upgrade, I mapped each mouse button to a separate auto-clicker and let the game run while I was sleeping or doing other things away from my computer to get the upgrade maxed out. I highly recommend doing the same!

More About the Side Menu
  • Resume -- This will close the side menu overlay and let you return to slapping. Opening the side menu pauses your slapping.
  • Inventory -- This allows you to look at and choose your butts and backgrounds. Included are the butts you have gotten from crates, purchased from the market, or traded for, and the backgrounds you've purchased with slaps from the Slap Shop - you can get to the Slap Shop after scrolling down in the Crate Lab in the main menu of the game.
  • Upgrades -- You can see all the upgrades you can get and already have. Later, you use this menu to wipe all of your slaps/background progress. I'll explain more in the Achievements section of this guide.
  • Leaderboard -- Here you can see your global ranking based on your number of slaps. Currently the cap on the leaderboard is a little over 2 billion due to limitations in Steam's code.
  • Settings -- Here you can fine-tune your in-game settings. This includes Sound, Graphics, Physics, Post Processing, and Gameplay. If the game is running a little wonky, I recommend clicking through the options in Graphics, Physics, and Post Processing. You can also turn censoring on and off here - this will cover and uncover the sensitive zones on the butts and hide the models you select.
  • Save and Quit -- This saves your slaps and takes you back to the main menu of the game. It is very important you click this before you exit the game. Force closing it without doing so will reset your slaps back to when you last saved them.
  • Crate Drops Overlay -- This little window at the bottom right shows you a few details about crate drops: the next crate drop check sent to Steam, how many crates have dropped in your current session (typically since the last time you saved your slaps), and when you will possibly earn your next crate after you have gotten all five for the day. The cooldown on getting crates (per crate) is approximately 24 hours, though ultimately Steam decides when your next crates will drop. If you're not getting crates after the 24 hour mark has passed, don't panic. This is a common problem with Steam itself. This section also contains the link to the butt crate drop rates, which can also be accessed with this link: Amarillo's Butt Slapper Drop Rates[amarillo-arts.net]

NOTE: Common issues and questions about these basics will be expanded upon deeper in this guide.
The Main Menu
PLAY GAME
Click to see a butt. (I know, awesome, right?) This starts a slapping session. Only one hand required to begin!

BUTT CRATES
Opening this menu brings you to your butt crates inventory. It will show you the crates you've acquired through the game, the Steam market, or trading with other players. Don't think you got the right amount of crates in a slapping session during an event? Click the gray arrows on the side of the screen to search the event crate sections. Event crates have a small chance of dropping during slap sessions! Click the button at the bottom right to leave the Butt Crates menu. The button at the top right lets you see the drop rates website, which can also be found here: Amarillo's Butt Slapper Drop Rates[amarillo-arts.net] Click the button at the bottom right to return to the main menu.

CRATE LAB
Here you can do as the menu describes: Exchange crates and get better goods! First time opening this menu will get you a talk from the lovely Boba, my favorite Amarillo OC with a butt in the game!
  • Exchange Butt Crates -- Convert 10 crates into 100 Ama coins, or 100 crates into 1000 Ama coins! Currently, there are no event crates to purchase, but you can save up for future event crates when the next event crate type is released!
  • Exchange Butts -- This allows you to turn butts into Ama coins! The rarity of the butt determines how many coins a butt will grant you. Be careful! Due to the need to ping Steam for your inventory, butts might not convert to coins immediately, or even convert at all. Exchanging the butt for coins over and over may lose you that butt altogether.
  • Slap Shop -- You may need to scroll down to see this menu! The first time you click on this, you'll get a talk from the lovely Clara. Here you can buy backgrounds you can place behind your butt during a slap session (Play Game > Triple Lines > Inventory > Backgrounds > Click Desired Background > Select). Backgrounds are purchased with slaps. Some backgrounds are more expensive than others.
At the top right there are three counters - your Ama coins, your current basic crates, and your current event crates. This counter may take a second to display the actual numbers of your coins and crates, so if you think something is off, go back to the main menu, wait a moment, and then go back into the Crate Lab. At the top left, you can click on the gray boxes with question marks inside them to reread the Boba dialogue. Click the button on the bottom right to leave the Crate Lab.

BUTT-A-PEDIA
This menu shows you all of the butts in the game! You can sort them with these options with the button on the top left: Rarity, Alphabetical (A-Z), and Alphabetical (Z-A). You can filter the butts with these options with the button on the top right: Show Owned, or Show All to see every butt there is. Clicking on the butts will give you a larger view and a description, and sometimes the art of the butt's owner and a link to their socials! Click the button on the bottom right to get back to the main menu.

SETTINGS
This is the same as the settings that show up in the side menu during a slap session. Here you can fine-tune your in-game settings. Click the button at the bottom right to leave Settings.

CREDITS
These are the credits for the game. You can click through the slides to learn a little more about Amarillo and what he's up to, along with finding the link to wishlist Amarillo's Desktop Pets. I will explain more about this in the next section. Click through all of the slides to exit the credits.

Achievements
Getting most of the achievements in this game is pretty straightforward, except for two of them. I'll explain them all, just in case.

100/5 000/10 000/100 000/1 000 000 Slaps
Slap, slap, and slap some more! You have to slap dat booty this many times to get the achievement. This shouldn't take longer than a few days if you're being casual about it, especially if you use the tip I mentioned in the first section of the guide.

Desktop Pet Enjoyer
Go to the main menu, and then click 'Credits'. Click through the slides until the 'Wishlist it!' button appears, and then click that little button!

WHAT HAVE I DONE
Once you reach ten billion slaps, a big red button with skulls on it will appear in the Upgrades menu on the side bar during a slap session. (Play Game > Triple Lines > Upgrades > Big Red Button). Click it... agree... weep... and then continue playing if you like. This gets rid of your slaps and backgrounds. It does not get rid of your crates, Ama coins, or butts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I open my crates?
A: Save and quit the game, and then go to Butt Crates in the main menu.

Q: How many crates do I get?
A: You get 5 a day. 24 hours must pass for each crate to get another 5.

Q: Will there be full body models/more hands/more upgrades/any other extra features coming in the future?
A: Currently? Yes. While Amarillo is heavily focused on just making butts and other projects, new features will be coming along the pipeline slowly. Please have patience, Slappers!

Q: How do I trade with my friends?
A: Go to your friend's profile page, and then click the dropdown menu, and then click 'Offer a trade...'. A week must pass after acquiring a butt or crate before you can trade it or put it on the market.

Q: How do I get the crates from the other events? Are they dropping right now?
A: You will need to trade for them or buy them on the market -- them or the butts. Only the current event's crate can drop/be exchanged for at the moment.

Q: How do I get the new male butt crate?
A: They drop when the regular crates drop, at a current 10 percent chance.

Q: How do I get the boobs butt?
A: It drops in the regular crate, at the Gyatt rarity. Please be gentle with this new 'butt'.
Common Issues
Not Getting Crates After 24 Hours
Unfortunately, this is an issue with Steam Amarillo can't completely fix. Steam ultimately decides when you get your crates -- Amarillo can only set the parameters.

Buggy/Inconsistent Butt Exchange
The delay on Steam inventory pinging causes the game some issues, especially when trading in bulk. Be careful and slow when trading butts and crates. If it gets backed up, exit the Crate Lab, wait a moment, and then re-enter the Lab.

Losing Slaps After Crash/Computer Shutoff
Due to Steam Cloud causing Amarillo issues at the beginning of development, the game doesn't have the Steam Cloud Save feature. Force closing, crashes, or power outages will wipe your slaps back to when you last saved.

Unable to Show Game On Profile
The game has to be more popular to be able to display it on your Steam profiles, unfortunately.

Incorrect/Divided Inventory Stacking
If you haven't gathered this already, Steam inventory can be a bit wonky. This can cause stacks to be incorrect or inconsistent. When exchanging multiple stacks of crates for Ama coins, it may tell you that you don't have enough crates. Click the option to continue the trade and it should work if you really do have 10 or 100 crates in your Steam inventory.

White Butt Crack On Larger Butts
This is a problem with the modeling software Amarillo is using. Fresnel lighting makes the crack shading look strange because of awkward normals on the 3D model.

Game Doesn't Fully Close
We're unsure why this happens, but it tends to occur with some people. Fully shutting down Steam or your computer can fix this.

my butts are becoming more tan then dark if I keep slapping a lot, is there any way to select a specific skin tone?

So I did a quick test as I got the "Game Doesn't Fully Close" issue, checking taskmanager you will most likely see the game running as a background process that didnt shutdown, if you end that steam will see the game as closed.
