GET TO WORK ACHIEVEMENTS

Welcome to Timmy's Achievement Guide for Get to Work, the only business-minded achievement guide that gets you real results.

NON-SECRET ACHIEVEMENTS

Participation Trophy: Get out of bed

Unlocked at the very beginning of the game. Simply begin moving. DIFFICULTY: 1/5

Get To Work: Beat the game

Self-explanatory. Proceed through the game normally until you reach the CEO's office. Enter the floating yellow circle behind the desk. The game will ask if you want to complete the game. Select "Yes." DIFFICULTY: 3/5

Dunce: Fools only

Once you enter the doorway labeled "YOUR FIRST JOB PROMOTION," there will be a sign directing you to a free hat. Follow the directions and go through all the rooms. Fall through the long hole and you'll find yourself back in the bedroom before the warehouse level. There will be a dunce cap in your path forward. Touch it and the achievement will unlock. Enjoy your new hat, dummy. DIFFICULTY: 1/5

Double Dunce: Fools only

Same instructions as "Dunce." Get back to the job promotion room, fall through the hole again, and you'll get a second hat on top of your current hat. DIFFICULTY: 1/5

Please, Get Back to Work: Please!

Same instructions as "Dunce" and "Double Dunce." Go through the free hat rooms a third time. You'll find the hole has been boarded up by the game devs. Enjoy the extra voice lines from the narrator. DIFFICULTY: 1/5

The Strongest Handshake in the World: Recover from the interview

After falling from a great height in the section with dozens of red barrels (while working your way toward the door labeled "YOUR FIRST JOB PROMOTION"), the narrator will talk about putting work into "firming up your handshake." After you work your way back up to the barrels, the narrator will tell you your handshake is a lot stronger and the achievement will unlock. NOTE: I had to fall from the top of the red barrel section to about halfway through the gears section to get the right dialogue from the narrator. I'm unsure if this is exactly what needs to be done to trigger the achievement. Commenter Jackelton states the following: "For The Strongest Handshake in the World achievement all you have to do is make it to the middle management interview section which, like mentioned, is the section with hundreds of red bumpers, and fall past the glass safeguards back into financial analyst. Then once you make it back to the interview section you will automatically get it, you don't even need to beat that section." DIFFICULTY: 2/5

Grindset Mindset 1: Listen to 5 of the podcasts

There are spinning gold "disks" scattered throughout the game. Each of them will play an episode of a podcast called "The Grindset" when collected. Most of them are easily visible while playing through the game normally. All of them emit a "white noise" sound effect when you are near them. NOTE: Each collectible corresponds to a specific episode so it is recommended to collect them in order, as there is a storyline happening in the podcast. DIFFICULTY: 3/5

Grindset Mindset 2: Listen to 10 of the podcasts

See above. DIFFICULTY: 3/5

Grindset Mindset 3: Listen to all of the podcasts

See above. There are a total of nineteen podcast episodes. The first eighteen are found prior to the CEO room. The final one is found during the Secret Ending. See below for Secret Ending info. DIFFICULTY: 4/5

Speedrunner 1: Beat the game in under two hours

Self-explanatory. This is an achievement guide, not a speedrunning guide, so I don't have too many pointers to offer here. I recommend looking up speedruns on YouTube for some good skips. You do have the ability to save-scum it a bit by pausing while falling and quitting to the main menu. When you load back into the game, you'll respawn at the nearest safe place in the level, which will typically be a bit below wherever you fell from; it stinks, but you might end up saving time in the long run. The game doesn't care how many times you do this; scum away! The timer resumes from the moment you paused and quit to the menu. The achievement is contingent on the in-game timer, not real world elapsed time. As long as you get behind the CEO desk before the in-game timer hits two hours, you'll get it. The same goes for all of the below speedrun achievements. DIFFICULTY: 3/5

Speedrunner 2: Beat the game in under an hour

Self-explanatory. See above. In-game timer is what matters here, not real world elapsed time. DIFFICULTY: 3/5

Speedrunner 3: Beat the game in under 45 min

Self-explanatory. DIFFICULTY: 4/5

Quitter: Hit the give up button

After falling from a great height several times (about ten?), the narrator will give you a "GIVE UP" button on your keyboard or controller. Press it and the achievement will unlock; your character will sprawl out the same way they do when you fall from height. NOTE: You will not lose any game progress by pressing the button and "giving up." It's a joke achievement, so relax. DIFFICULTY: 1/5

The Richest Man On Earth: Find the secret ending

After entering the CEO office, there is an open doorway to the right of the desk (or to the left, if you're "sitting behind" the desk). Go through the doorway and you will see additional ramps and obstacles leading upwards. Follow the "path" of these obstacles and you'll get to the secret ending, where you end up going to space. NOTE: You can unlock the achievement Get to Work, watch the credits, then load the game from the menu and continue on to get this one. I recommend doing that. DIFFICULTY: 4/5

Wait, Seriously???: Beat the game in under 30 min

Self-explanatory. Your movements must be precise and your focus must be unwavering. If you feel you've suffered a significant time loss after a long fall, you've probably missed it and need to restart. I got this achievement with a time of 29:15 using minimal skips and following the "normal" path the game puts you on. I definitely recommend using a controller for movement precision and speed control. I used my PlayStation 5 controller throughout the game. It takes practice but it can be done! Good luck! DIFFICULTY: 5/5
A Real Quitter: Give up for longer than 1 minute

Press the "GIVE UP" button (see the Quitter achievement above). Simply lie there for a full minute without moving. Use the in-game timer to track your progress. DIFFICULTY: 1/5
