Description
Residents will not take any food from shared containers, however if the food ends up in their inventory they can eat it.

Works seamlessly with OnlyMeals https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3382140352 in that residents will not take any food but if it ends up in their inventory they can eat only meals or gifted food.

If residents do not have anything to eat they'll spawn their own random food, this is normal game behavior.

Note that after heavy testing, while residents eat food from their inventory it's slow if they have active jobs/hobbies and they don't seem to eat if you're traveling (or eat even slower), so don't find it strange if they don't eat their food, that's normal game behavior and untouched by this mod.

Has a setting to also exclude pets or livestock from taking food from shared containers.

Settings can be adjusted in the config file that appears on Elin\BepInEx\config after the first launch of the game with the mod enabled or by using https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3379819704 (allows changing the settings without restarting the game).

Looks like "pasture" is a textile, so it could be taken, yes.
If you want you can use ResidentsExcludedSharedContainers https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3389898370 to create rules to block residents/pets from taking items out of certain containers but still let them put items in, so you could have a pasture container where pasture can be dumped but not taken for consumption.

or is it just stuff labeled as food?

Up to you really. Consumed food still gives stats to whoever eats it.

Can I only prevent livestock from taking food from the public box? I want to allow residents to automatically take food, not including livestock
