About the exp. There are no diminishing returns, so at the end of the game, you will have the same amount of xp no matter which order you go through it. Also xp on its own does nothing, it needs to be enough to get you a new level.
I also manage to take out every bandit inside the cave by go in, bleed (with axe), go out. Heal with the water barrel, repeat. Even in hardcore, your game gonna save everytime you go out of the cave so be ready to fast reload if a fishnet caught you or is you're in very bad posture. While doing this, you can bleed them to the last blood drop. Free Exp AGAIN and... Bandit Leather Armor. Double YAY !
After doing everything in order to complete ch1 correctly, i did a bit of a grind myself, by beating up some dude in remnant.
First, to do this with less difficult (and without honor cause exp require sometime to "glitch" a bit), you can bring you npc south of the smither house, if you manage to pass the woodboxes, the aggro npc will - instead of following you - enter inside of the smither house, and from this, you are outside, and he is inside. With an axe and some bloody damage, you can manage to out EVERY SINGLE ONE NPC. Bunch of Exp YAY !
(next message coming)
Ehm, Kawd Moor for sure. The secret hewer camp with my build is running around until you can fire nuke. The many adds give healing through opulent berserker ring. If you can run around and time some misty steps to get out of roots, you can last a long time. The second time I did secret hewer, I didnt need as many shadow fragment, which is great since I needed those for Kawd Moor!
That fight is just too intense. Blink and you're dead. You need to change your strat as well, since healing is cut down. You just feel like a fly in that fight opposing giant swatters. It feels like no chance and I guess that was the intent of the devs. So by design and execution, Kawd Moor is the hardest.
What was harder, the secret hewer camp battle or the Kawd Moor boss?
in lower difficulty i could not beat the 2nd wave in that ruin, but i could beat the boss after a few tries so i am curious if that is actually the hardest challenge in the game, and why there is barely any talk about it
