Introduction
This guide contains spoilers. You probably are looking at this because you're missing a fragment, so here they are. This is my first guide.

Problems! Be warned!

Due to the way the game is currently constructed and how the files are saved, there's a serious issue.

Item scans AND/OR item pickups can be saved retroactively. So if you scan fragments or collect certain items (notably keycards), and then reload an old save the item might be flagged as scanned or collected and NOT SHOW UP in the reloaded save.

So DO NOT go exploring with the intent to reload an older save if something bad happens.
The Seeker Vehicle
It's important to note that this is NOT FOR THE DEMO OR PROLOGUE VERSIONS. There are substantial differences, fragments are placed differently.

So there are [at least] 4 parts. This will list them off in the order most people are likely to encounter them, based on the distances from your starting shuttle.

First part. This is located outside the 'Red Cave'. It's a door in the side of an asteroid with a green glow at the door. It has a signal marker that lists it as the Vehicle Manufacturer Cave.

The part in question is slightly up and to the left of this signal, there's a large rusted wreck fragment on a ledge. You can see the part to the right side of the fragment in this image (sorry about quality).

Second Part. After you enter the cave, you'll fight several starfish looking aliens. Hit them with the laser tool while backing up, or the scrapper if they grab you. Continue forward past a red mist cloud, the cave will open up into a larger section, you will be up near the roof of the cave at this point. Look down. There's a container you can open, and behind that (toward the cave entrance direction-wise) is a nook. There is an explosive drone in there that will rush you, and half-buried in the red nodules on the bottom is the second fragment.

These two images show the nook at a distance

And the fragment.

Third. From the second fragment, continue along the left side of the cave. It leads to an abandoned outpost and the fragment is in plain sight on a metal platform on the right side of this path, as this image shows.

Fourth part. Note that this WAS in the demo/prologue, got removed after some initial updates past the first early access version, and seems to have been re-added in the theta-12 update. This is located at the research lab signal point, it's a two blue dome island. The first dome has nothing but a few cargo containers and the Seeker fragment on the right side.

That's it. If you cannot find any of these parts. refer to the problems section in the intro.
The Deposit Miner
Four parts to this, two are pretty easily missed.

First part is near the Theta-9 signal location. Go straight past the station, there's a large amount of scrap pieces, containers and attack drones. Near the end of this section is an asteroid shield bubble and what looks like a broken warp gate. The fragment is to the left of the shield bubble, near a large quartz deposit.

The next two are at the yellow shield bubble location, directly in front of it and guarded by several drones again. Note that if you see these fragments and DO NOT scan them, they might not be there on subsequent game reloads. They vanished for me at least.

The last one is tucked away near the warp gate to Theta-12, at a two-dome asteroid location. It's tucked away on the back of the asteroid between the two domes....generally on the left side the way most people will approach this location. You can see the large copper deposit next to it.

Conclusion
Hope this helps some people. I made this in response to discussion posts, and bugs involving finding these. I'll keep this updated as changes occur. Last [partially] updated 7/2/2025. Still need to add some images and some fragments that I missed the first time around.

Thanks for reading it, suggestions are welcome.

As of the newest update, it seems like all iridium is in the toxic zone now, haven't found any asteroids with it anywhere else, but maybe a single piece in a chest or something in one of the poi, they might have shuffled things around for progression purposes?

On my playthru, that last one was indeed by the 2-blue-dome "island".
It was essentially down in among the features of the island.
Flying free but down so close it was hiding in plain sight.
It was on an iron asteroid in my case. A pretty small one, for being mineable.
from the blue glowy feature go towards the tall tower-shaped rock and look about slowly for a free floating asteroid down low to the ground of the island.

Thanks for the help, when you open the pause menu the game lists your player coordinates. If you or others happened to be in those areas.

x-305939 + y -159657 + z 41297 Thea 9's deposit miner wreckage, Yeah when I saw all of the drones I gave them a wide birth I'd likely not have found this fragment.

Fighter bots near yellow dome? I haven't seen them yet. I've been dropping in thru the top of the dome. Maybe I'll keep doing that! Thx for the head's up!

Thank you for the last location of the deposit minor that I would of continued to miss due to it's effective hiding in plain sight❗ There is also a deposit minor in the gold field to the left of the 2 domes before the yellow dome just off of the giant old space craft wreck that's unguarded by the fighter bots. Recalling "the Art of War" by Sun Tzu that it's always good to find ways of winning without having to fight. The fighter drones near the yellow shield dome seem to be exceptionally aggressive.

Other locations for iridium outside the toxic zone are an asteroid behind the Old Hub Mine (3), one of the crew rooms in the Tau-9 base (6, I think), the emergency stash on the asteroid air dome where you find the hydroponics pieces (1) and the last two in the hidden container on the Research Base asteroid.

If you need iridium to build them you can get it from the toxic cloud. If you don't have a toxic suit yet, then you can use medic kits and a vehicle to outlast the damage while you collect it. Then make the suit and you can get as much iridium as you want.

Thanks Arcanestomper. I'll add that fragment to this guide next Astrometrica update.

I found another deposit miner fragment going in a line from the ancient ship wreck to the toxic cloud near the warp gate.
