Feve Serie 2700

The FEVE 2700 Series (also known as Renfe's 527 Series) is a model of motor vehicle used in Spain since 2009. They serve the narrow gauge lines in Asturias, Cantabria, Galicia, Castilla y León, Vizcaya and Murcia. Initially, the company awarded a consortium led by CAF the contract to build twelve diesel-hydraulic traction units, which were contracted in December 2007. Just one year later, the company's Board of Directors authorized the extension of the base contract with 11 more units, resulting in a total of 23, built in two phases. The trains were delivered during 2009 and 2010.
