Can't load saved games? There's a fix for that.

If you can't load saved games, the problem is most likely a corrupt save file in your local directory. This guide will show you how to locate and clear it so that saves for SGS2 will work again.

How To Get Rid Of A Corrupt Save
If you can't see any saved games, or you crash when trying to load a saved game, the MOST COMMON cause is that one of your saves is corrupt. While we wait for the developers to solve this, there's a workaround to get rid of the problem save, so you can get back to playing.

1) close the game

2) turn off Steam Cloud Sync

3) open %localappdata% in Windows Explorer

4) navigate to \ShipGraveyard2\Saved\SaveGames\

5) MOVE (do not delete) all but the most recent saved games to another folder - your Desktop, your Documents, it doesn't matter where as long as they're out of the SGS2 folder.

6) start the game and see if you can load one of those saves. If you can't, close the game and move the last saves OUT and a couple of the slightly older saves IN, and try again.

7) Once it works, turn Steam Cloud Sync back on.
