Stake car Snps

The Snps (719) is a 4-axle flat wagon with bogies and fixed, two-metre-high double stanchions, which was specially designed for transporting logs, sawn timber, steel profiles and pipes. A total of 1,960 wagons were produced in series between 1980 and 1984. The stanchions are equipped with lashing devices, while the floor consists of walk-on perforated plates and wooden loading sleepers. From 1998, around 700 wagons were fitted with laminated wooden slats to protect the load and were subsequently registered as Snps-x 719. There are currently 593 Snps-x and 1,364 Snps 719 in the DB AG fleet. Between 1992 and 1994, Cattaneo delivered a series of 100 similar wagons to the SBB, which differed from the DB wagons only in minor details.
