I wanted to reset my progress and after disabling steam cloud sync for the game and removing the savegame file from the userdata folder, it still did not work. I checked around and no one seemed to be asking this question for the Ultimate version of the game which may be setup differently. I scanned the registry and found nothing, but it seemed to pulling the same savegame from somewhere that wasn't the cloud. I hunted around the PC and found a copy hidden somewhere else.

I thought I'd make a guide just in case anyone was wondering about this (and irritated about the lack of option in-game).

NOTE: You will lose all your in-game settings after this as it appears to be all tied together.

Here's the steps:


1) Disable cloud sync on the game (if enabled)

2) Delete the save "SHOOTERULTIMATESAVEGAME" file and anything else in Userdata under your base steam directory
Steam\userdata\<Your Steam ID>\332330\remote

3) Delete the save "SHOOTERULTIMATESAVEGAME" file and anything else in AppData - Roaming
(System Drive)C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\PJShooterUltimate

4) Start the game and all will be reset

5) Quit and renable cloud sync (if preferred)


Hope this helps someone, I couldn't find any mention of a savegame in AppData other than on PCGamingWiki after I did this, so in case you haven't been there either this guide exists.

For ref in case of inconsistencies when trying this, I'm using Windows 10 - Version 22H2.
