This is a guide to help you understand which tools are for each escape type, Includes Maze map. (Will be adding pictures of each Item and possibly more in depth information on escapes later)

Note that this guide contains spoilers SPOILERS!

Door Escape
  • Padlock Key
    • Used to unlock the metal padlock on the door.
  • VHS tape
    • Put this in the TV in the living room and watch the video for the four digit door code to enter into the keypad on the door.
  • Cutting Pliers
    • used to cut the wire lock on the door to disable the upper L.E.D light.
    • used to cut the wire in the Circuit Breaker to disable the lower L.E.D light.
  • Hammer
    • Used to remove the wooden boards from the door.
  • Master Key
    • This is the final piece, used to unlock the door once all other items have been used.
  • Cartridge Fuse
    • Place this in the control box to power the front door.
Car Escape
  • Car Key
    • Used to unlock the trunk of the car. (required so you can fill the petrol tank)
    • Used as the final piece of the escape when the rest of the objectives have been completed. (Interact with the steering wheel)
  • Wheel
    • Install to the wheel at the front of the car.
  • Battery
    • Install into the engine compartment at the front of the car, under the hood.
  • Radiator
    • Install into the engine compartment at the front of the car, under the hood.
  • Spark Plug
    • Install into the engine compartment at the front of the car, under the hood.
  • Gas Cylinder x2
    • After unlocking the trunk of the car with the car key, interact with the petrol cap in the trunk to fill the gas tank.
    • Used to fill the generator beside the car to power the garage door.
Maze Escape
  • Special Key
    • Used to access the basement maze room where the grate to the escape is.
  • Wrench
    • Used to undo the bolts on the grate that leads to the ladder.
  • Chain Cutter
    • Used to cut the two chains behind the grate.
  • Shotgun
    • Used to shoot the target behind the ladder, this raises the platform so you can get to the ladder.
  • Wheel Crank
    • Used on the wall in the area with the ladder to open the grate at the top of the ladder.

Shotgun Table
  • Place the three Shotgun parts on the table to craft the Shotgun.
Shotgun Barrel
  • One of three parts required to build the shotgun, place this on the shotgun craft bench along with the Forearm and stock.
Shotgun Stock
  • One of three parts required to build the shotgun, place this on the shotgun craft bench along with the Forearm and Barrel.
Shotgun Forearm
  • One of three parts required to build the shotgun, place this on the shotgun craft bench along with the Stock and Barrel.
Chain Cutter
  • Used to cut the chains behind the grate that leads to the maze escape.
Wheel Crank
  • Used on the wall in the maze escape area with the ladder to open the grate above the ladder.
Wrench
  • Used on the grate leading to the maze escape to unscrew the bolts.
Special Key
  • Used in the basement on the keyhole next to the iron door to give access to the sub level basement.
Car Battery
  • One of three parts required to rebuild the car engine, place this in the hood of the car along with the Radiator and Spark Plug.
Car Radiator
  • One of three parts required to rebuild the car engine, place this in the hood of the car along with the Battery and Spark Plug.
Spark Plug
  • One of three parts required to rebuild the car engine, place this in the hood of the car along with the Battery and Radiator.
Gasoline Can
  • Use on the Petrol cap in the trunk of the car.
  • Use on the generator next to the garage door to power the door.
Wheel
  • Used to replace the missing wheel at the front side of the car.
Car Key
  • Use on the Trunk of the car to unlock it and give access to the petrol tank.
  • Use on the steering wheel when all other Car Escape objectives have been complete to escape.
Hammer
  • Used to remove the wooden planks from the front door.
Cutting Pliers
  • Used to cut the wire lock on the front door to disable the upper L.E.D light.
  • Used to cut the wire in the circuit breaker to disable the lower L.E.D light.
VHS Cassette
  • Put this in the TV in the living room and watch the video for the four digit door code to enter into the keypad on the door.
Screwdriver
  • Used to unscrew the little grate just outside the room with the hooks on the ceilings, just through the crawl space in the garage.
  • Used to unscrew the grate in the loungeroom that leads out to the dog cage.
Cartridge Fuse
  • Used to power the front door.
Padlock Key
  • Used on the padlock on the front door.
Master Key
  • Used on the door to complete the front door escape once all other door objectives have been completed.
Wood Plank
  • Used in the attic, after opening the hole in the floor place this over the gap to allow you to cross into the room with the lever.
Duct Tape
  • Used in the attic on the exposed wire next to the lever after crossing the wooden plank.
Safe Key
  • Used on the safe in the basement.
Remote Control
  • Used on the door in the main foyer opposite the front door escape to turn off the electronic lock and allow you to open the door.
Granny Photos
  • Used on the picture frame in the basement to form a photo of granny, once you have all the pieces in the frame you gain an extra day. (only on normal difficulty and below)
Winch Handle
  • Used outside on the well to bring up the bucket.
Watermelon
  • Used outside on the guillotine to slice the watermelon in half.
Steak
  • Used outside on the dog bowl to bring the dog into the cage, you can then press the wall switch to log the dog in, allowing you to enter the dog area through the crawl space in the lounge room.

Where is the electronic shield located? I used a pair of wire cutters on the door, went down to the basement, but there was no guard.

Hi soversxxx, While I have not personally had this issue, I believe there have been reports of this to the developers via the community discord, you can log bug reports there. A link to the discord can be found on the Granny: Escape Together steam page.

why sometimes a wrench does not spawn

It looks like the Cartridge Fuse isn't required for any escape just yet, confirmed today after being able to complete all 3 escapes without using the Cartridge Fuse as all.

I'm currently unsure if the Cartridge Fuse is required for anything. I'll try and figure this out soon and update the item list in the guide with more.
