This Guide is for players who would like to play Spectre Divide using a PS5 controller.

Not all functions are available for controller (so keyboard may be necessary for a few small unessential tasks).

The game states that it does not have controller compatibility, however, I have been able to play using a PS5 remote controller paired with my keyboard (for functions not found on the controller).
This guide will explain what functions and movements can be done with a PS5 remote controller, which ones still require a keyboard but can be changed and bound to a PS5 remote controller buttons, and which ones will require keyboard regardless.

The guide includes optimal settings for gameplay with a PS5 remote controller.

FUNCTIONS/MOVEMENTS AVAILABLE FOR PS5 CONTROLLER BY DEFAULT

• Moving around: Left Joystick
  
• Looking around/Aiming: Right Joystick
  
• Shooting: Right Trigger button
  
• Precision Aim: Left Trigger button
  
• Switching weapons: use L1 and R1 buttons to go through the weapons
  
• Using center ability: Circle button (by default but will be changed later in this guide)
  
• Moving pointer/mouse: Right Joystick
  
• Selecting/clicking: Right Trigger button
  
• Pressing Escape (ESC): press Right Trigger button over ESC button on screen
  
• Going back: press Right Trigger button to select anywhere outside open window or by pressing same button used to see window
  
• Click on Chat: press Right Trigger button over chatbox to select chatbox (cannot type without keyboard though)
  
• Open Settings/Menu Options: Menu button with 3 lines on the top right of remote

FUNCTIONS/MOVEMENTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR PS5 REMOTE (BUT THAT CAN BE AFTER EDITING SETTINGS)

• Good Mouse Sensitivity: set to ideal 1.55 for better aim
  
• Planting the Zeus: set to Left Arrow button
  
• Primary Ability: set to Up Arrow button
  
• Second Ability: set to Right Arrow button
  
• Third Ability: set to Down Arrow button
  
• Activating Clone Disc: set to Triangle button
  
• Switching Clones: set to Circle button
  
• Open Buy Weapons Screen: set to press down on left joystick

FUNCTIONS/MOVEMENTS NOT AVAILABLE FOR PS5 REMOTE AT ALL

• Type in chat: req keyboard to actually type
  
• Help screen: req key bound to help action
  
• Stats screen: req key bound to open stats action

You can play around with key bindings to maybe include these somehow but I do not recommend it.
