How to simplify your grind!
By SunMoonFX
Having trouble gathering Chip Data and getting through a run? There's a strategy that works quite well for both! I'll go over it and the details behind it here. This guide assumes you're able to hack through locked devices and directories. If you struggle with devices, I'll cover that as well!

The Basics
So first and foremost, I'll go over the stuff you buy with Chip Data you want to have before getting this going, along with stuff that'll help you but isn't fully needed.

Side Commands is a must. This strategy uses connect_key as a backbone. However, nothing else is required- everything else is simply a boost to it.

Other side commands that can be useful are home and backdoor, to quickly navigate the paths and return to a connection point when you're ready to leave or at high System Alert respectively, and suppress for a panic button should you find yourself in a pinch.

Preloaded Keys will make this immensely easier, as you will only need to buy a few keys. If you can beat the first area with Bitcoin, you'll be able to get through everything else with only 2 keys, as you have 3 from the getgo and only need to beat 5 more areas.

Similarly, Preloaded Bitcoin is a great help as well. It will make buying keys easier, and will almost guarantee you'll have the Bitcoin to get past the first area.

Lock Suppressor is massive even without this strategy. But this strategy relies on getting through areas fast, and often times the connection points are behind locked paths. So it will likely make it much less risky to do this, as you'll find yourself ignoring Bitcoin files a lot (though make sure you have at least a couple dozen for the suppress command).

If you have all of this, you're pretty much set to go!
How It Works
Once you've gotten things set up, start a new run as usual. Try and fully clear areas to the best of your extent, picking up Bitcoin and keys whenever possible. Get your keys NOW, because they will get more expensive in the later areas.

You'll need 1 key per connection, but the first few are still cheap with Bitcoin. So use Bitcoin earlier, while it's cheap.

Once you have enough keys to get past each part for certain, just blitz through the areas and find the connection points. As mentioned, Lock Suppressor helps immensely here, as it will passively keep your System Alert down as you tunnel through.

Each area does get harder, so your goal is to focus on moving through and not letting your System Alert get out of control.

Once you get to the end, you just use connect_key to use a key instead of Bitcoin- and bam, you're in!

This even works on the highest difficulty at the moment!
Helpful General Tips
home Side Command: The home command, if equipped, will let you quickly move back to the center. This is useful if you're on a long, branching path- it will send you back for the same amount of System Alert as a single move! This comes in handy as it lets you explore further without needing to backtrack.

backdoor Side Command: The backdoor command can be used to let you explore even after you find the connection point. If you need more keys or Bitcoin, you can drop a backdoor right on the connection point and keep exploring. This works very well with home!

suppress Side Command: The suppress command will let you keep going a little longer in case you realize you forgot to drop a backdoor, or you haven't found the connection point yet. Use it as late as possible- but don't get fooled by Bitcoin files. They might cause you to gain too much System Alert- even if it looks like you'll be just barely fine. This is because all files cause you to move back to the previous folder, and this does incur the same System Alert penalty as moving would!

Preloaded Keys: Preloaded Keys makes it so you need to clear fewer areas with materials you pick up. Preloaded Bitcoin may further reduce this! You may be able to clear everything without picking up any Bitcoin or key files, if you're lucky enough and have both of these maxed out...

Lock Suppressor: Lock Suppressor will be handy, as you'll likely need to brute-force a lot of locks. Thus, this will suppress System Alert passively as you do so!

Backup Line: Backup Line, while the least required upgrade of all, will help in case you get stuck on a hack. You can't suppress mid-hack, so having this as a last resort may be useful!
Character Specific Tips
Sleeper Agent: While not as helpful in the harder difficulties, Sleeper Agent will be able to explore some levels to surprising degrees. It can help to track down keys, connection points, and even security nodes! And even more surprising, you CAN shut down security nodes without starting the passive System Alert gain! This is possible when security nodes aren't behind locked pathways, and the device in question isn't locked either. Since security nodes use the override command, as opposed to the get or hack command, the passive ability remains in effect!

Crypto Miner: Once you have the keys to get through, the negatives of Bitcoin Miner almost entirely dissipate! Since you no longer need Bitcoin to exit an area, you can simply buy cheap keys early on and do things how you want! If you want to challenge yourself, you can use a normal strategy- but to unlock stuff, this is a good way to do things!

Overclock: Since moving and hacking don't cause System Alert to go up as it usually would, your goal here is to rush. And this strategy is pretty much just that- a rush! You'll be able to get a lot more Bitcoin- and thus, keys- if you can move fast!

Exploreit: For this mode, make sure to not equip home, as it is entirely useless. backdoor isn't as useful, but thanks to a recent adjustment by the devs, it can bypass any OTP effect on devices, which is something Exploreit cannot do. If you use something else in place of these two commands, I recommend scan to find connection points faster, and cloak to mitigate the boosted System Alert increase from moving.

Middle Man: It is much more important to have home and backdoor on Middle Man, however. Once you're above 50% System Alert, make sure to use them. Set a backdoor on a locked node, use home to reset to 50%, and then use jump to move back to the locked node with 50% System Alert. This can be a vital aspect of this game mode!

Injector: Hacking is super useful for this mode, and this strategy synergizes well! Once you know how to quickly hack things, and have Lock Suppressor maxed, you can get up to 18% suppression in one go! This comes in handy, since you'll likely want to ignore most suppressor files.

0-day: Lock Suppressor also works with 0-day, as the 0 command does count as hacking a lock! It will give you 1% less, and can never go below 1%, but it is still very useful early on when you have low System Alert!

Hacky Alpha: For Hacky Alpha, the strategy doesn't change much. Use swap late into the area to get a bunch of Bitcoin, then use that Bitcoin to either clear the area or buy keys early on!

Hacky Beta: With Hacky Beta, sweep can be used to find keys and connection points fast. However, the 40% System Alert is a heavy toll- so if you use it, be ready to rush!

Hacky 2.0: I'm not gonna share anything about this character with you- it's a secret after all. Just know that the strategy honestly doesn't change much for this character.
