Description

Hey hey folks! It's Indieguy! And today we have portugal's own Age of Empires: Portugal 1111! Or to be specific, Portugal 1111: a conquista de Soure (the conquest of Soure). This game was developed in Portugal in 2004 and released in an issue of the magazine Visão (weird right?), being created by Ciberbit! Portugal 1111 is most famous for being the first game developed in Portugal to be sold at stores. This game might look like your average PC strategy game of the early 2000's like  Age of Empires or Cossacks (some might even call this an Age of Empires clone), but it seems to have some tricks up its sleeve; does the game play its cards well? Is this Eurojank in its most quintessential form? Is this a sleeper rts game? Or is this a bad old game? Jeez, why so many questions, watch the video to find out, already!

I also talk about Ugo Volt, which was a cancelled game project invisioned by Move Interactive starting in 2001 being developed up until 2008 where it was cancelled due to the ever encroaching financial crisis of that year and the lack of faith from external investors. The game project is most famous for being the first ever game developed in Portugal to be shown at E3, in 2006, gaining notoriety in the gaming world and especially in Portugal.
