Basic Questions
  1. I already have an account from before steam release, how do i link them?
Zorg released some information a few weeks ago, and you can find it here: https://forums.huntedcow.com/topic/68569-important-steam-users/

Make sure to link them BEFORE you start to play.

  2. How many Servers are there? Am i bound to one?
There are currently 3 Servers available: US, EU and Oceanic
The cool part is, that your characters are stored globally, so you can simply login to a different server to meet people from different regions (It's best to choose the server with the lowest ping). So if you are from Europe, but you have some US or OC friends, you can simply switch to the specific region and play with them and vice versa. You will always play with the same characters.

  3. What is the max level?
    45

  4. What classes are there?
There are 6 at the moment: Warrior, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Mage and Prophet. You define it by setting skill points in them after you start to earn them on level 5. You can respec for free every 60 days.

  5. Can i learn all the Professions ?
Absolutely. It's just really timeconsuming, since those professions are not meant to be real sidejobs. They are more like a different way to play the game.

  6. Is there an auction house?
Currently there is none, but you can either use the trade forum for Eldevin here in steam, the official forum or just trade in the world chat.

  7. Where do i find Quest NPC/Item/Mob XY?
Well you could ask in the world chat, but normally they are marked on the map, when you set your quest as active. You can also check the wiki here: http://eldevin.wikia.com/wiki/Eldevin_Wiki

  8. Are there Guilds?
No not at the moment, but the community is mostly working close together so it feels like a big guild. You can still create custom channels with your friends, so you have your own private chat.

  9. Is it Pay2Win?
Some say yes, some say no. It's like this with every f2p game.
You CAN buy gold with it, but the exchange rate when you sell the cash shop currency to players is better than the one from the devs.
Everything else really feels just like "Pay for convenience".

  10. Are there mounts in-game?
Oh yes, there are. You can buy the skill and one mount for gold. It's a total of 6 Gold.
The riding skill has 3 Levels and gets more expensive.
There are some mounts available through the shop, but there are also some available from dungeons and events.

  11. Is there PvP?
Yes. We have 2 options here:
    - PvP Arenas
    - Wilderness
    (I can't go into detail since i hate PvP :D )

  12. How do I see my FPS and Ping?
Simply type /fps in chat and you can see your current FPS and Ping in the lower right corner of the game.

  13. I got kicked from a party after they wrote something i didn't understand. Why?
Did they mention "greed" and "need"? Well then we have the answer here:
You ONLY choose "need" on an item you actually need and that you actually use after you won it, everything else is rolled with a "greed" or you even pass on it.
This is common in MMO's and you have to get used to it. Players hate when you need on everything and this will give you a negative reputation inside the community and it's hard for you, to find a group in the future.

The following are taken from here [forums.huntedcow.com]and credits go to ernzor.

  14. What is the best (quickest/most efficient) way to level?
Everything you do will give your character xp to level. There is enough quests in the low levels to gain levels very easily. As you grow you will see that you also get xp from killing (allowing you to grind if you want) and from professions. Some prefer to quest others prefer to grind. Grinding is quickest, but inheritly repetitive.

  15. What is the best way to get rich (I need coins!)?
In low levels it may seem that you are gaining your fortune very slowly, rest assured at high levels you will find it easier to get the needed coin. To start you off however you can get small amounts from selling loot to vendors. You can also farm professions for people and they will normally pay a gold amount per 100 of any item. Ask in world chat and you can normally find a buyer for any item.

  16. Where can I find people to help me with group dungeons?
Sometimes it can take a while to use the Looking for Group (LFG) in game function. Sometimes it is much quicker to ask in world chat if anyone is interested in running a dungeon with you. There is also the option of running a dungeon in Story mode (for most of the dungeons) to complete the quests in a solo version of the dungeon. Solo dungeons give less loot and relics (relics are used to buy dungeon gear) but allow you to complete the quests.

  17. I have a problem what should I do?
There is a bugs section on the forum here that you can post about your bugs. If it is an account, harassment or an issue you think warrants HCS attention then you can use the support link up the top right of the page and submit a ticket. The HCS guys and girls and mostly decent people (:P) and will help you out!
Classes?
This is directly taken from here: https://forums.huntedcow.com/topic/68865-welcome-to-those-from-the-steam-realm-quick-faq-inside/

Templar: Templars are meant to be rock solid characters with very high deffense to be able to take damage from many monsters while keeping your party members safe. They use 1 handed weapons with shield and heavy armor. Basically build by putting points into vitality/melee.

Warrior: Raw brutal force melee characters, they are meant to hit hard and kill fast. Good single target damage and great area of effect damage (aoe) ! They use big 2 handed melee weapons and heavy armor. Build with heavy armor and by putting points into melee.

Asassin: These are like eldevin ninjas, masters of damage over time ( dot ) with great single target damage. They usually have high dodge and critical %. Usually build with medium armor with melee status and dual wielding 1 handed weapons. There focus is putting points into melee/focus.

Ranger: This class is long range attack. They have very powerful area of effect moves, awesome for grinding and overall killing several mobs at a time! Basically build with medium armor with ranged status, longbows or crossbows and by putting points into ranged.

Mage: Mages are very versatile and fun to play, they have a wide variety of attack spells with good are of effect damage and they also have some healing power. Build with light armor, essences and staffs or sorcery status weapons and by putting points into sorcery.

Prophets: The Eldevin healers! They are a diferent class of mage wich maximize healing power, they also have good damage. With a large ammount of aoe and single target heals, heals over time and protective skills, they are a must in almost all group activities and dungeons! Build with light armor, essences and staffs or sorcery status weapons and by putting points in sorcery.

Notice this are just basic guidelines and every class can be build in many diferent ways so fell free to try your own combinations !!
World Chat?
You can reach the world chat like this:

1. Click on the small Icon highlighted on the the screenshot, this will open the chat itself

2. Click on the world chat icon

This will open the world chat and you can ask for help, be chatty or even trade. As long as you don't spam, it's basically all okay.
Quest Book is so confusing.
Well yes it is and there are plans to change this in the future to make it easier to navigate.
For now it's like this, but it's still a really nice quest book.

The only downside: You can only track one quest at a time.

You can open the Questbook by clicking on the icon or pressing "Q" on your keyboard.

This will open the following window:

As you can see it's automatically sorting the quest by Level and you can even hide low level quests.
You can also choose to simply sort them by category:

Every Quest is also part of a "Book" and you can see the progress of all books, when you click on the second tab at the bottom, this will open the following window:

If you click on them, you can see the progress of the book and the quests inside of this book:

This is the basic questbook overview, i won't go into detail. Here is a really good guide that explains waaaay better than this guide does: https://forums.huntedcow.com/topic/63990-understanding-the-questbook/
