Know Your HUD
This is your HUD (everything is pretty self explanatory):

We will discuss some elements in depth in "Know Your Stats".
There isn't much to customise (yet) but u can turn "show controls" on or off:

This is your inventory (press Tab to open):

These are your perks (Press Tab then "perks"):

We will discuss perks in depth in "Know Your Perks"

This is the fog of war, it only exists indoors and it can be removed (not entirely) by using flashlights, night vision or thermal vision:

This is your stash (found in the main building at the pre-raid area):

Know Your Binds
You can customise your keybinds from the settings (Press Tab to open inventory, then click on "settings"):

There are some keybinds, however, that your cannot customise and are not shown in the "keybinds" tab, they are as follows:
  • Rotate items: Hold left click on item + R

  • Quick loot: Ctrl + Click on item to instantly transfer it to your inventory

  • Divide stack: Ctrl + Drag stacks of ammo to perfectly divide them in half

  • When looting, the looting menu instantly goes away when you start walking (no need to press Tab to close), this is not true for your inventory tho.

  • Right click on an item to open a menu with stuff like inspect, open (in case of storage items) etc.

  • Alternatively, you can double click on items to inspect or open them (depending on the kind of item).

  • You don't left click with the knife to deal damage, instead you need to physically swing it using the mouse (if you hear a swish sound, that is the equivalent of a left click with the knife)
Know Your Stats
The red, blue, pink and green bars represent health, stamina, hydration and hunger respectively:

  • Be sure to find food during raids because without perks, hunger and hydration drain really fast, and if you run out of 'em then you start losing health.

  • Health can be restored by using medical equipment like bandages, IFAK's, first aid kits etc.

  • Status effects only include bleeding and fractures which can be fixed by using specific items, so make sure to inspect medical items to know what they do.

  • It is recommended to carry at least one set of bandages and splints at all times.

These are your player stats, they are determined on the basis of your armour + the gun your holding in your hand (if any):
It is recommended to prioritise stealth over armour because even though good defence is the best offence, they cannot kill what they cannot see...
Know Your Perks
These are your perks, they are divided in three perk trees as follows:

  • Every time you level up, you receive one perk point which can be used to get the perk of your choice.

  • You can unlock a perk only if you have at least one perk point in the previous perk of the perk tree.

  • It is recommended to get at least 2 perk points in the "slow metabolism" perk as it drastically reduces the rate at which hunger and hydration drain.

  • After "slow metabolism", the next perk you should focus on is the "favourite customer" perk as it is crucial for getting better gear easily.

  • Finally, if you are dying a lot and finding yourself with little to no gear for the next raid, you should invest in the "blade master" perk as it increases the damage dealt with the knife.
Prep Time!!!
Before you go into a raid, always make sure to do the following:
  • Grab supplies from the bench, the supplies restock after every raid so there's no point in not taking them (unless you already have enough supplies).

  • Make sure you have enough ammo for the whole raid, it is recommended to bring at least 300 rounds in spare so that u don't run out.

  • Make sure to bring only those keys that you need, there's no use of bringing a remote lab key into a downtown raid.

  • Always keep ammo and keys in the secure container, or u may regret it...

  • If you're new, stick exclusively to "downtown" or "suburbs" raids for some time until you're confident that you can take on more difficult enemies.

  • Easier does not mean you won't find good stuff, if you can manage to kill Gregor in downtown his rifle would be your best friend for a long while.

  • This is the computer, it will be unlocked once you hit a certain level. The computer would give you random "session quests" that you can complete for some xp, and if you're lucky, some good loot (these quests reset once you leave the game, which means if you're sweaty enough you can continuously rejoin and "re-roll" the session quest. Once a session quest is completed you can take another one from the computer and then another and then another...)

The Main Gameplay Premise (Slightly Outdated)

Last Group Out is not your typical extraction shooter, here's what to know when in raid:
  • There is no physical extraction point (yet), you have to wait for the timer to end.

  • The maps are always the same but the time of day is different every time you spawn in a raid, so it is recommended to have a flashlight or some form of night vision/thermal vision equipment (which can also be used indoors to get rid of the fog of war to an extent).

  • When an enemy spots you, a symbol of an eye would appear on top of their head.

  • This symbol, although grey at first, would start to turn orange. When the symbol turns completely orange, the enemy would become aggravated and would hunt you down no matter where you are.

  • There are three types to enemies in the game: Scavengers, Raiders and Bosses.

  • Scavengers: These guys are your typical tarkov scavs, armed with guns with little to no modifications and no armour. Most of them wear ear pros and hoodies.

  • Raiders: These are the juicy boys, wielding modified weapons and armour. Raiders can spot you from farther away compared to scavs.

  • Bosses: Each map has at least one boss and each boss has couple pre-determined spawn area. They use special weapons and armour exclusive to them and they can spot you from as far as the other side of the screen (sometimes even before you spot them).

  • There are also limited time bosses than only spawn during a special event, most of the time these guys spawn with random gear + a limited time event item, the bag and the fangs I'm wearing in most of the images are some of the limited time items and you do NOT want to miss those.

  • Fight, loot and survive until the timer runs out and you will automatically be teleported back to the pre-raid area. Die in a raid and you would lose all the stuff you had on you that was not kept in the secure container, including the stuff you brought with you.

  • The loot you collected can be sold to the traders: Stan, Bjorn and Strong. These guys also sell essential items that you would need like guns, ammo, meds, armour etc.

  • It is recommended for new players to hop into practice mode first, practice mode is just like the real deal except you do not lose your stuff upon death.
