Deathspank: Thongs of virtue is a great game that would benefit from being able to play it on the go. Unfortunately, this game is considered unsupported and will crash upon startup. There is a simple solution to get the game running perfectly and this guide will walk you through that process as well as how to get the game working even better upon startup.

Running the game
1. Open the game page (The one where you normally launch the game and see the start button)
2. Open the gear menu (Settings) and go into "Properties..."
3. Under "Installed Files" click "Verify integrity of game files" and wait for it to finish
4. While you are here go to "Compatibility" and check "Force the use of a Steam Play compatibility tool" (Any proton version should work)

If everything worked then the game should now boot into the main menu, but we aren't done yet. We still need to configure the game itself.
Video and Controls
1. Boot into the game
2. Check that the game automatically loads the "Gamepad With Joystick Trackpad" layout. If not, apply it. It should be under "Recommended". Then, go back to the game.
3. Go to Settings > Video Settings
4. Set the screen resolution to 1280 x 800 and apply the setting.
5. Go back and go to "Control settings" and check "DeathSpank uses controller mode"
6. The game should now be configured. Have fun!
