The following sections outline the various weapons that you can collect during a run.

⚔️ Weapon Types
The weapons that your heroes use are grouped into 3 subsequent categories; Councils, Factions, and Damage Type.

Councils
There are 3 color-coded councils (Faith [Yellow], Occultism [Purple], and Perseverance [Red]), each with their own associated Loyalty Mastery (which appear in your loot rolls like faction masteries or weapon drops).

Generally, the council distinction between weapons doesn't have much of an influence on your gameplay. However, there are a few faction masteries that have council-specific effects, like the Priest faction mastery, "Disciple", which has the following effect:

Any Faith weapon now has a X% chance to activate Smite.

Factions
Within each council, there are specific factions that weapons belong to. Currently, there are 8 individual factions. Note that, fusion weapons can full under multiple factions at once.

All weapons deal either Physical Damage or Magic Damage. Fusion weapons will also only deal a single type of damage.

🛡️ Boss Uniques
Unique gear is only dropped by boss enemies. Currently, there are a total of 9 uniques that can be found. Additionally, you can only equip 1 unique jewellery and 1 unique armor on a hero at a time.

The ideal way to farm uniques is on Endless Nightmare mode, where bosses will routinely respawn throughout the run.

Note: Unique drop chance only appears from Normal Mode at Corruption 9+ and Nightmare Mode from Corruption 8+.

(1) After dropping below 40% Health, increases damage by 2000%, maximizes Attack Speed, and causes attacks to drain 2% of the damage dealt as Health for 10 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 60 seconds.

🛡️ Gear Stat Rolls & Upgrades
Gear at Legendary+ rarity comes with 5 possible stat rolls; 1 Primary stat and 4 Secondary stats.

There are a few key differences between the two tiers of stat rolls:
  • Primary stats have a 233% higher base value than secondary stats.
  • The type of primary stat rolled is determined by the gear equipment type. I.e. a helmet will always have the health stat as the primary roll.
  • Secondary stats can be any stat (barring a few like Gathering).
  • Secondary stats can become "corrupted" resulting in the stat roll being colored purple and the base stat roll is increased.
  • Corrupted secondary stats have a 50% higher base value than secondary stats.
  • Unique gear stats have a 25% higher base value than Legendary gear stats.

Blacksmith Enchant & Reforge
Gear can be upgraded and refined through the Blacksmith menu.

Enchant
Enchanting lets you upgrade your gear to level 20 and increase its primary & secondary stats each time. At +20, your gear stats are increased by 100% (or doubled).

As you enhance your gear, you can gain up to 4' blue pips', which are randomly distributed amongst the secondary stats. Each pip will give a stat value bonus outside of the general enhancement increase.

Enchantments have the following associated costs per each level of enhancement.

Reforge
The Reforge menu lets you reroll a secondary stat to become another stat. However, you can only reforge gear that has reached +20 enhancement. Additionally, once a stat has been rerolled, you can only reroll that same stat row again.

Note: You can reforge corrupted stats but it will reroll it into a non-corrupted stat.

Smuggler
The enigmatic Smuggler sells permanent stat upgrades for the "cheap price" of a single shining coin per upgrade. Their inventory of stats changes depending on the map region you encounter them in. However, they will only appear in Endless mode runs.

Note: Each stat upgrade can only be purchased up to 50 times before they become "out of stock".

Finishing Blow - Dark Accord deals additional damage based on (1.2/2.4/3.6/4.8/6)% of the target's Maximum Health.

Talents are additional generic passive abilities that you can equip your heroes with before starting a run. Defensive Talents
Life Heart
Increases your Max Health by +(5/10/15/20/25)%.
Life Stealer
Grants a (1/2/3/4/5)% chance to Drain 5 Health every time you cause Damage.
Shockwave
Every (30/28/26/24/22) seconds generates a shockwave that pushes enemies away.
Cauterize
The Damage dealt by Burn heals you by (1/2/3/4/5)% of that damage.
Dark Pact
Whenever an ally enters the field, gain 50 of protection shield for 60 seconds.
Ironclad
Every (40/35/30/25/20) seconds, grants a shield that blocks the next Damage received.
Adrenaline Rush
After killing an enemy, gain +(5/10/15/20/25)% Movement Speed for 2 seconds. Non-stackable.
Greed's Hustle
After collecting an experience crystal, gain +(5/10/15/20/25)% Move Speed for 2 seconds.
Take a Breather
Increases invulnerability time after taking damage by +(0.3/0.6/0.9/1.2/1.5) seconds.
Death Call
Increases your Gathering Range by (5/10/15/20/25)% for every 10% of Health lost.
Guidance Tome
Gain +(5/10/15/20/25)% experience.
Soul Gather
Every time you get 500 kills, get healed by (160/320/480/640/800).
Battle Scars

@Ruen Baeric I don't believe the Power Ups are faction-specific, there are the hero-flavoured active power ups (like Amelia's Clock stopping time or Lyah's Faith firing star waves) but you don't get any additional bonuses beyond what their stated effect is for matching the race/hero.

If you're referring to the Council Loyalty Points, the faction doesn't matter very much. Of course, something like Occultism points would pair well with weapons that utilize Magic Damage.

But in terms of accelerating your run for any hero, it's always preferable to grab the Faith loyalty point for the +1% Luck as this increases the treasure chest spawns, which gives you more options towards the weapons you need (bigger power spike) vs. gaining minor buffs in other stats.

@SleepyPig do you mean a corruption cap? As far as I know, it's functionally infinite. That said, your performance will probably take a hit the higher you go, which will result in your game crashing anyways.

hey, great guide, been super helpful! Just to let you know, the smuggler sells +0.25% armor, attack speed, spell accel and magic armor per shiny coin, not +0.5% like the guide says, you need 4 shiny coins to get 1% and yeah you can only purchase 50 times cheers!

He should have a chance of appearing on all maps. It's just based on luck, unfortunately.

It took me close to an hour to find him on my run. I did it on Nightpine Valley / Nightmare Mode / Corruption 10, and just ran in one direction until he appeared.

Additionally, I completed every single Deadly Sin encounter before finding Bellarius as well. But I don't believe this matters as I've seen people encounter him without completing those other events during a run.
