This fix is made for Windows 10 systems. If you have other system, the fix still might work, but some of the terms might be different.
You have to have the Region set to English, whenever you talk to the ghost at the begining i.e. whenever you start a new game.

• If you don't have a search bar try pressing Windows key + S
  
  
  
  2. Select the Change date, time or number formats option
  
  
  
  3. Set the format to English
• You can choose your prefered region, any one of them should do.
  
  
  
  4. Click on OK
  5. Launch the game and hold the R key until window pops up
  6. Click on RESET
  
  
  
  7. Now, you should be able to play the game properly again :)
  
  
  
  TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
  It seems after you talk to the ghost and the card with the next person is loaded, you can switch your Region back to your prefered one. This is not tested and if the game breaks again it is possible you will need to follow this guide and will lose all your in-game progress.
  After getting one of the three endings, you must reset the game to play again. Once again, you have to have the Region set to English, whenever you talk to the ghost at the begining i.e. whenever you reset game.

I've informed Neriel of the cause of this bug. Now we must hope they will be able to fix it someday.
I've made this guide as plan B, since my trust in Nerial has been severly damaged.
