Daylight Robbery - how to get richer & beat Gold goals
By Helen
To beat some chapter goals in Shadowhand Solitaire you'll need to collect a certain amount of gold. Having lots of loot is also super useful for all the cool clothes, weapons and abilities you might want to purchase in the shop. And some Steam achievements are tied to how much gold you can earn and save.

This guide has some tips to help you grab as much loot as you can!

Gold Goals

Many chapter goals in Shadowhand Solitaire include looting/finding a certain amount of gold. This guide has some hints to help you get more gold!
Multipliers
You win small amounts of gold every time you clear a pile of cards.

There are also some hidden items under piles of cards, such as sacks of gold, which are worth even more. You only find chests of gold in loot from beating enemies.

If you make a long run of cards without a break to draw a new card from the stock pile (a "combo"), you will see your multiplier in the top left of the screen increasing.

At the end of a hand the multiplier is applied to all gold that you found (but not to enemy loot).

So - it pays to try to sustain long combos on hands where you are trying to beat a gold goal, as this will help you to win larger amounts of gold.

You can use strategy, power ups and wildcards / jokers to increase your combos.
Prosperity
Some clothing items will increase your prosperity stat. They are marked with a gem icon.

You can check your loadout and purchase / equip these items in the inventory, at the end of a chapter, or by hitting 'equip'.

A few examples - there are more...

The prosperity stat gives you a chance to double gold found under cards. And a chance to double the value of the gold bags you find.
Stand and Deliver Power up
The Stand & Deliver power up allows you to turn a card on the tableau into gold.

So this is a really good power up to equip when you are trying to beat a high gold goal for a chapter, or just to have more money to spend.

If your multiplier is high, the amounts you get from playing Stand & Deliver will also be larger!
Abandoned Doll

The Abandoned Doll is a late-game power up that starts your gold multiplier at 1.5x.

So this is a great passive ability to equip to get more gold, that you can add to even further by making long combos.
Loot Locations
Here's a list of the chapters with the most hidden loot crates:
  • 6,
  • 10,
  • 14,
  • 16,
  • 17,
  • 18,
  • 19,
  • 21,
  • 22.

There is gold to be found on other chapters, too, just in smaller quantities.

These are good places to think about:
  • Getting big combos to optimise your gold multiplier
  • Checking your outfit to make sure you are wearing all your 'Prosperity' gear
  • Equipping your Abandoned Doll

This will ensure that when you collect gold, your stats are boosted so that you get more of it!

Hi Lyrith - here's a hint: read the text carefully on the clothing items...then decide what to wear specifically with your gold-coloured weapons. :shadowhand:

Hi Helen,I find that I can't unlock the achievement of Dress for Success, I've tried to wear all clothes with property points on and the number has been 5 which still can not unlock it. Would you tell me how to make it? Thank you for your help!
