A thing to keep in mind is that from what ive been playing the mode is really up to luck, not only cuz of coins, but the challenges you get from the scarecrow. One thing i can say for sure is that at least ONE coin will spawn somewhere on the map on the first day and that your fist challenge is to catch wondering souls.So now i will go over what you will be facing in nightmare mode.

Crawler is THE thing that drives me mad in this mode. First thing is that you wont hear the sound of him spawning, you will just hear the violin when he's somewhere on your farm and coming to take a bite out of you ass.I have that violin engraved into my skull and i hear it from time to time when am just running around even after he left.So the way to counter him is that you just run into your house ez if you could make it so i would say that the thing you should invest most in is speed.He comes around from 2-3 minutes i unironically put a timer on just to see if its random. the first time he'll come is 1 min into your game and then its 2-3min from that point on.

In this mode there are two deer.
The first one you'll see is the white deer, unlike the orange one he won't follow you around and hes pretty chill he'll just go around the farm minding his business but if you walk close to him he'll eat you all the same. from what i've seen hes a little faster then the other one so keep that in mind.he spawns as soon as you start a run.






The orange one spawns after 5 min and he will follow you around the map.from what i've seen hes not changed at all from normal mode. one thing i'd say about both the deer is that if your close to the house and your as well i'd say you trigger them and then run into to the house they won't follow you into it and will re set after 10-15sec.This is really useful at night.also when going to the boat to put in the cogs MAKE SURE THE ORANGE DEER IS FAR AWAY he will come
on the boat and will eat your pumpkin spiced ass.

Another piece of advice for them is that you should play on controller if possible. cuz when its night time you can slow down your walking speed to listen for the deer foot steps in the dark.Do not sprint at thing if you 100% sure there not in your way.

At night time you'll first encounter the red clown.he will spawn randomly on the map and you'll hear his music box wind up go to him and get the ballon.















After about a 30s-1min or so the blue clown will spawn and play his music box along with crying sounds if your close to him so listen from his crying ♥♥♥♥♥ ass and give him the ballon from the red clown.If you don't get the ballon from the red clown its just gg just restart the run.

The Shadow Pumpkin will come out under your bed after the three candles on your night table are out.Unlike your father he will come and give you a nice hug and kill you.The way you counter him is simple don't stay in for too long.From what i've seen each candle takes about 20sec to blow out so you have around 1 min in the house.if your unsure if you'll make it you can edge the candles by going outside and waiting for the crawler or deer to come near and then go into the house again.

The little Pet is a kraken that will hold down your bout until you've done all 4 of the challenges.
he will also have a chance of spawning near the dock three places to be specific on the lefts side of the dock just before just before the fishing rod, next to the fishing rod on the left of it, and just under the end of the dock where it splits to the left and right. you'll know his there by the bubbles in the water and the sound of bubbles.
the way to counter him is easy you just walk a little bit until you hear the sound of him pulling out his tentacle to attack and the move out of the way. DO NOT TRY TO OUTRUN HIS ATTACK you cant dodge it.The little hentai also spawns at night so keep an eye and ear out.

I am 99% sure you NEED two pets to win this in under 35min.
The GOAT MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE the possum.
What this bugger does is replenish your stamina faster and is the only thing that can make the game possible in 35 minutes cuz its just saves time.The only way to get the possum is in nightmare mode after the second day its will start running around the farm and you need to catch it.Running just saves so much damn time but do keep an eye or idea of where the deer are not to run into them.
The bat is somewhat useful cuz he has a a really long cooldown and his ability is short.When its night time he will screech and make the deer visible by putting them on a grill (i wish) what it really does is it surrounds them in a fog you can see in the dark.Like i said this bugger isn't that useful from my exp cuz of the long cooldown so don't relay on him that much cuz sometimes you'll run into the deers ass before he even gets the idea to alert you.The bat is also only found in nightmare mode and at night, you'll have to follow it around the map and pet it 5 times to tame it.

There are two other pets a crow and a frog put tbh i didn't find them that usefull so i won't talk about them.

So the game play loop at the start at least the first 1-2mins should be running down to the first plot to plant and water the seed then running up to the dog house to pick up the possum by that time you should be able to water the berries again and do that until there grown full harvest them and plant the another batch with all the seeds you got run to and from the well and berries if the white deer isn't in the way so you can save as much time untill 1 min when the crawler will show up for the first time.I you did everything right you should be able to get into the house after the second batch of berries.a nice tip to keep in mind is that you should rum A LOT to save time thats why were using the possum.

While in the house you should buy the red key and 5 pack of cabbage seeds and a speed upgrade cuz speed is really needed in case you make a mistake so you can get to the house in time so upgrade it a lot. After the crawler goes away go plant the cabbages and only farm them, while waiting for them to be watered again run around the farm to find forage the way i do it is by going out with the exit on the left side of the the map and then going down and to the well to get more water and then watering the cabbage's again. do the same for the second side of the map.After about 2 min the crawler should have his second coming so if your unsure when it will happen do not water the cabbages you won't make it to the house in time at this point.While in the house buy the upgrade for the seed bag so you can carry 10 of them you won't need to upgrade it from this point forward, also upgrade stuff as you like from now on but focus on speed and money upgrades the most.

If you got lucky and found a coin go give it to the scarecrow and start your first challenge and it will always be to catch 5 wandering souls dw if you can't find them they start to spawn on the first night and they are legit needed to beat the night cuz they replenish your lantern(thats real expansive in nightmare) so if you don't at least find one gg your dead by daylight.The wandering souls can be caught by running into them and holding the action key.







By the time you got the first coin 5 mins should have passed and brown deer will spawn he'll start coming from the right of the screen and once you see him near the well that means the crawler will come soon so be careful about watering the plants.At this point you should just farm cabbages, while upgrading your equipment and looking for branches and grass.If you got lucky again you should have another coin by night fall that means you'll have another challenge, to get 4 fish of some kind from what ive seen the green fish are the most common but its definitely possible to win it by having to get any other fish.The fishing rod is located on the dock and needs 6 brances and 6 grass after making it still look for foreges but this time sell them.Only go fish when the crawler leaves so he doesn't get ya while your at the dock.

Once night falls use your lantern and listen for the deers footsteps in the dark you can equip the bat if you want tho i don't have much to say deal with the clowns and watch out for the deer you just have to be careful here (easier said then done).

By the second day you should have the money to buy the blue key and once you have it you won't have any money problem cuz cucumbers are GOATED so from that point onward focus on the challenges and cogs.The last two challenges are to gather 16 sticks or grass (if you do the foraging route i was talking about you shouldn't have a problem) after that its to harvest 50-60 plants of some kind (its random on what kind of plants you need), by far the easiest one is the berries (the starting plants), also lure the brown deer up to the house after the crawler leaves and put in the two cogs (you need 4) cuz you can only carry 2 at a time and it takes a while to put them in, watch out for the kraken.

If all the stars aligned just right you should be able to finish your last challenge and get out under 35 min. congrats you beat nightmare mode!
