Grenades Into Hatches

Description
WIP
DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH ENHANCED MOVEMENT OR WMO
This mod allows you to disable vehicles by throwing grenades into hatches
How to use:
Simply climb to the top center of the vehicle and while looking at it press your throw key or use ace advanced throwing.
If you need to add/remove compatible grenades or vehicle types you can do it by adding the classname/type in the addon settings, current default valid grenades are vanilla
Current valid grenades are: vanilla, ace grenades, rhs, cup, aegis, sog, spe, ifa, nf, nfcw
Features:
  • Instant vehicle destroy
    (when the grenade explodes it instantly destroys the vehicle)
  • Vehicle cookoff chance
    (chance for ace cookoff)
  • Valid vehicle types
    (what vehicle types are valid for throwing grenades in)
  • Whitelist
    (ignores type and lets you throw grenades into it)
  • Blacklist
    (ignores type and doesn't let you throw grenades into it)
  • Vehicle damage modifier
    (how much damage should be done to vehicle hit points)
  • Chance of crew fatal damage
    (chance of insta killing the units driving)
  • Chance for AI crew to get out
    (applies per unit and not the crew)
  • Valid grenades
  • Ace cookoff
  • Ace medical
    (deals random damage to the crew body)
  • Ace advanced throwing

yeah throwCheck.sqf is jank, when i have the time i'll come with a better solution

cracked the script and understood: we need to aim at the very center of the vehicle, not just stand near the center; looking away too far (even while keeping the vehicle as cursorObject) would cause the worldToModel to give unqualifying results.

Is there a way of identifying the effective area to trigger the throw? On vanilla Slammer I can stand on the turret and ACE throw, and still can't get the nade in; I have to stand at the exact center to make it happen...

This is the best iteration of "Grenade in hatch" mods.

No fumbling with action menus or ace interact, just throw a nade in there

@Hound sure but remember you can add compatible grenades with the Valid grenades parameter and valid vehicles with Valid vehicle types!!!

@Viko, could you perhaps make the hatch open when doing this? like perhaps the hatch open by itself or by menu command externally to throw the grenade quite literally down into it vs. clipping through it?
