i love webfishing so much like i swear its just me my pole and the water just waiting for a good catch and oh man those lil cute fish just doin their thing under there it gets me every time sometimes i reel in these tiny lil fish with big wide eyes all innocent and just wigglin like they’re tryna say hey hi yeah you found me i just hold em real gentle like alright little buddy back you go and i send em on their way but i love it i just love how they're all colorful and shiny like lil gems and then there’s that big one that got away once oh i’ll get him next time
like i love webfishing so much but let me tell ya there’s this one fish alright big ol guy like a freakin submarine i swear he’s like a legend out there he’s got these eyes that probably stare into your soul yeah like he’s got it out for me i’ve seen him out there just glidin like he owns the whole lake and every time he gets away every. single. time like its personal with this fish you get me i feel him laughin at me with his fishy little grin just mocking me with those scales so shiny they’re practically sparkling like yeah buddy go ahead live it up down there but next time it’s just me and you face to face no excuses no slip-ups i’ll show him i’m no amateur i’m coming for ya

i could play for hours and hours like i’m not even kidding you could drop me out there with my pole and some bait and i’d just be in my own little world the whole time yeah the sun could set the stars could come out and you’d still find me sittin there staring at that line not even blinkin the sky could turn every shade from orange to purple to that deep blue you only see at night and you think i’m goin anywhere? nah i’m still there like a statue on the shore like some kinda water-watching maniac i don’t even care if my back starts to ache or if my legs are fallin asleep it’s just me and the water and that fish

and don’t even get me started on the sounds yeah there’s somethin about the sounds that’s just like magic like the quiet splash of the water every time i cast out or the way the line zips through the air you know what i mean it’s like a song or somethin like music that only makes sense if you’re sittin there with a pole in your hand and i’ll sit there and i’ll wait i’ll wait til the sun comes back up again if i have to just sittin in that rhythm cast wait reel cast wait reel it’s like a trance i’m in the zone no time no worries just me and the fish out there somewhere waitin to be found and every cast i make i think this is it this is the one it’s gotta be the one

and look if it rains it just makes it better like yeah rain’s not gonna stop me if anything it makes me wanna fish even harder i’m sittin there soaked to the bone clothes all stickin to me rain drippin off my hat and i’m thinkin yeah come on fish this is your time to shine and i don’t care if i’ve been out there for hours if the rain turns to hail i’ll just tuck my head down a little more and keep goin keep casting and maybe maybe just maybe i’ll see that line jerk the tiniest bit and there he’ll be that one big fish just waitin for me

and then there’s the food like yeah sometimes you gotta bring snacks right cuz you can’t leave the spot but that doesn’t mean just any snack no way i’m talkin the good stuff like jerky and trail mix and all those crunchy things that somehow taste way better when you’re sittin there fishin and if i run out of food who cares i’m not goin anywhere til i’ve caught him i’ll survive off pure fishing energy pure determination i’ll live on the thrill alone
