INTRODUCTION
So that we can use the frame generation inside the game unfortunately it is only available for the nvidia 4000 series, but thanks to modders we can nowadays trick the games to believe that we have a 4000 series video card.

This mod works for GTX - RTX - AMD

INSTALATION
Installing the mod is very easy, just drag and drop the files to your RDR1 folder and you are ready to go.
  • #1 Once we have downloaded the method we need depending on our video card, we select everything in the mod folder and drag it to the folder where our RDR1 is located, the steam default is this one:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption
  • #2: If we did everything right, the mod will already be installed in our RDR1. The last thing we have to do is to run a .reg file that the game left us in the folder to disable the nvidia signature
    (this we have to do ALL, no matter what video card we have)
    - The file is in the folder of the game and is called “DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg”, we execute it, we give him to that “yes” and to “accept”.
    And ready! the mod is installed, now we open the game to activate the Frame Generation.
  • #3: Once inside the game we have to load a game because the mod crashes if we configure the frame generation in the main menu, then once in-game we go to:
    Settings -> Graphics”.
    - In this section we have to desactivate the “V-Sync” for the Frame generation to work.
    - Then we go down to the option called: “NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency” and activate it.
    - After having activated it we activate the dlss:
    Anti-Aliasing/Upscaling Method” -> "NVIDIA DLSS".
    - Below we will unlock the 2 options: "Frame generation" and "Super Resolution".

    In “Super Resolution” we have several options to choose from:
    "DLAA" - "Dynamic" - "Quality" - "Balanced" - "Performance" - "Ultra Performance"

    These options do not lower the graphics of the game or anything like that, they practically mean how much we want the resolution to be rescaled to gain more fps.
    The more performance we want the more the resolution will be lowered, it is up to personal taste which option we want to use, I recommend the “Quality” option to start with.
    ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
    In “Frame Generation” we have 2 options to choose that are the following ones:

    ON: We gain more FPS at the cost of having probability of visual glitches.
    AUTO: Slightly less FPS at the cost of reducing the probability of visual glitches.
    ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Once we have chosen the options that suit our pc and taste, we can play with Frame Generation inside the game!
IMPORTANT
Unfortunately this mod if we use the Frame Generation and we do not deactivate it before finishing the game, when we play again the game will not start the main menu.
If this happens to us, we have to deactivate the Frame Generation from the file of configuration of graphics of the game, that is in this location:

Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption\graphicsOptions.xml”.

Then we have to look for the following option in the list of options:

<NVIDIAReflex value=“1”/>

We have to change this value from “1” to “0”, it has to look like this:

<NVIDIAReflex value=“0”/>

Once we deactivate it, we can activate it again inside the game

I REPEAT: DO NOT ACTIVATE IT IN THE MAIN MENU IF IT DOES NOT CRASH THE GAME, YOU HAVE TO ACTIVATE THE FG IN-GAME.

We have to remember to deactivate this option when we finish playing, otherwise we have to repeat this method again.
