so i suggest to atleast get to a high gem level(gem level is basically just a better gem) then buy the trees and save up. after you've done that i suggest you also get 10 moose's and ridiculously upgrade and put them to work in the tree area and do the same for the gems keep in mind that these to groups must be separate.

straight away you must get 2 moose and upgrade the capacity and drill speed and then max out the other upgrades. then go to the upgrades section and get rails these are a life time saver because when you start to dig deep your miners dont have to have speed(personally i hate the speed upgrade because of the rails) do not ask me late game things because i just started to get the wands

a tip on expansion: expand only in one direction (either left or right, not both) because the grinder cost scales per purchase, not by distance from center. The gold/diamond spawn chance increases the farther left/right you are as well as depth so the faster you can go left for example, the more gold/diamond you will get as well
