Tanglewood (Phasmophobia)

A re-imagining of Tanglewood Street House from Phasmophobia.

This is a much more challenging map than my last release, "Boneworks". Can be found here if interested: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3131524887

FEATURES:

- 10 Perks
- 6 Wonder Weapons: All of which have been buffed and customized in some way (Except Thundergun); NO RESTRICTIONS on wonder weapons (Multiple players can have any wonder weapon)
- 2 simple side quests, both of which unlock wonder weapons
- Lots of non-game changing Easter Eggs. Really might have to pay attention for these ones.
- Full interior of Tanglewood Street House is minimally changed (Simple textures and minimal map layout changes; Small changes due to fit with Zombies mode); Creative liberties taken with other areas (Includes layout change or massive ambient changes, will make more sense in-game)
- Dynamic audio: Spent a lot of time changing/editing audio for weapons/ambient/3D objects, including reverb in certain areas.

Other details will remain hidden from the description. Just to experience it first in-game.

When it comes to any crashes that may occur, I can't do anything without an error code or some sort of description of what you were doing at time of crash. Otherwise, any "it crashes" comments will be completely ignored and possibly deleted.

please for the love of God change the teleporter system, if someone goes down in 1 room its a complete gamble on if you'll be in the right room to get them and if not then they just die. Otherwise its a decent map

Run the game in English. Using a custom font can break the game in other languages unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have actually tried to go back and do a 2.0 update to change/add a BUNCH of stuff, including adding a flashlight for the dogs/no power lightstate, as well as removing the death room (Staminup) to make the teleport system much more viable, as well as adding new locations and EE's outside of Tanglewood and adding to Brownstone High, but the map has been crashing every time I remotely attempt this. Even copying the map over to a new Radiant .map file has not helped in the least. At this point, I would have to start completely over. And I just can't do that right now. I have a massive project I've been working on in the background since 2021 that I'm almost done with, and a small themed map coming (hopefully) later this year. That's my new priority. I would love to re-visit the Phasmo universe in the future. But it'll probably be in the far future now.

@TheUnknown,... great concept and love what you have so far but if i could make the suggestion of adding a flashlight by double tapping the interact key like other maps that are kind of dark. i think that would be an amazing quality of life update to this map and any other Phasmo map you might add. also can i ask why sprinters start to appear so quick lol, i get its suppose to be a bit of a challenge map but sheesh. just my two cents to consider, otherwise great map lol

I actually would love to come back and do a 2.0 update/release, where changing the teleportation would be my number one priority, along with a bunch of other changes. But that would be after my current project. It is definitely on the table though.

I also really liked the weapon wall in the truck in place of the ghost hunter equipment. That was a nice touch.

Visually fantastic map, a lot of cool areas from the game as well.

Some of the zombie spawns could be better, it's weird watching them climb up through concrete floors and wooden flooring. Tbf that is just a personal gripe I have with some maps even considered the best though, it bothers me more than most I imagine

The dogs can be quite tough, which I think would be fine (they are too easy otherwise by default). The issue with the dogs is more it can be difficult to get properly equipped because of how the teleporter works, where all the perks are located, and how expensive everything is. Gearing up properly in time for later round dogs I found problematic personally.
I enjoyed the map the more once I turned on AAE lite and increased the point scoring a fair bit.

The audio and ambience on the map is a huge selling point, it even does the droning sound indoors that Phasmophobia does which is really neat.

To my Phasmo players: If (big IF) I was to (possibly) add the new rendition of Bleasdale, would you guys like to see it like it is in game, all nice and fancy, or more worn down and destroyed, kind of like my version of the Brownstone lobby? Asking for a friend...
